On this thread I would carefully assist and answer questions pertaining to COREN registration and getting fully certified.

Lots of myths concerning COREN and NSE registration process which would surely be laid to rest here

I am a certified practicing engineer by the way. The goal is to ensure every engineer in Nigeria gets fully certified (you can ask why)

Lets keep the questions rolling, no question is a foolish question

No. You don't have to be a member

But if you are a member of NSE (MNSE) you can proceed to COREN directly

Are you talking about graduate membeship of NSE

for COREN it takes about 5 months to become fully certified if you dont time it well, but a month if your timing is right

Q. the exam schedule during the corona period

A. this corona virus really affected their calender no exams have been schedule since Dec last year but if you early enough you would be able to the let me say the 1st batch

Q. How much should I budget for direct COREN certification

A. You pay an initial ~ ₦86k, another ~ ₦64k after exams (if you make it) then ~ ₦11k for practicing fee

you ll also spend close to ₦12k at the venue of the exam (this amount is not fixed)

making an approximate of ₦173k to be spent

Lets hope this year would be online though

Get your 3 page technical report ready

Start developing your "bulk" technical report (to be submitted on interview day)

Please on time so you will be included with the Ist batch for this year

Those that ed early Jan this year just got their status updated to "Recommended for further vetting"

After 4 years of Post-Graduation from the University,you can apply for Corporate hip (MNSE)

If it is Engineers' cadre, it is just a matter of you applying for Corporate hip of NSE at any Branch close to you.
You won't write any Project again...Your COREN covers that.
