Lol. Probably a smart move doing it today. Labour won't have time to strategise.

There is one thing people don't understand.

Anyhow you wants to put it, it is the poor masses that will suffer it.

When government make a policy without efficiently putting instrument in place to checkmate the negative effects on citizens, it is the masses that will feel it.

This policy that has been made without any ing action will lead to increase in prices of things, and those that will suffer it are the end consumers.

Oga, policies have reactions and consequences.

Filling stations had stopped selling fuel as at yesterday in many places especially Lagos.

It's simple economics. I thought this man would tow that step ,alas !!it looks like once this our leaders get to the seat they loose sense of empathy and comion for the less privilege

First disaster of the new president. Set in cushions first before announcing a policy as delicate as this.

Firstly , I will like to declare that your father and by extrapolation, his father who is your grandfather are nincompoops. Judging from reoccurrence, every male child in your family are idiots.

Secondly, I'd love to mention just incase you aren't aware that you are a leashed rabid dog that is mentally deranged.

Thirdly, I will like to educate you if your brain can comprehend it, that we cannot continue to enrich a few through the fuel subsidy scam. We will endure the pain and make the sacrifice for the future.

Lastly, although you and your cohorts hate to hear it, but Nigeria will be great, will flourish and will prosper starting from Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu's tenure as President.

You can go back to your cage now, dog!

There’s no need for this.

They also pay a higher tax rate than Nigeria for the funding for subsides.

Because those economies depend on tax to fund state coffers. Nigeria depends on natural resources. Dubai even pays their citizen monthly subsidy to encourage them to work, this is different from their salary. Our NYSC is based purely on subsidy. Our education system especially public primary and secondary schools are subsidized. Even if it's not called a subsidy, there are so many schemes, agencies and programs various governments emback on to make things easy for their citizens.

A good start.

One thing that Buhari lacked was decisive willpower …with all the military background, there was no decisive decision he could make. Osibanjo was even better as acting president
It is too early to call.

Well hypocrisy did not allow Bubu to remove that sham of a thing. Subsidy regime was a cankerworm

So government is saying it cannot bring the bastards abusing the system to justice ? But rather it will ensure more Nigerians suffer to prevent the elite from stealing instead of dealing with the elite and keeping the subsidy to help the poor .

All of you congratulating this move will soon see how the elite will reposition themselves to still steal from the money saved . Just wait and see

it was corruption in Jonathan’s government that prevented People from allowing the removal of subsidy . Buhari’s government stole like crazy . Convicted politicians were given presidential pardons .
We all know Tinubu is corrupt . So let’s see how the money saved won’t find the way into private pockets .

1.Dubai's income is greater than Nigeria's income.

Dubai is part of the UAE that produces nearly 3m barrels of crude per day...for a populaiton that isn';t up to 20 million people. Nigeria has 200 million people, and produces 1.8 m barrels per day. The oil revenue we earn is not enough to fund anything like subsides or daily salary

Even the education subsidy we pay is why our schools are bad.

2.If Nigeria want subsidy again, either we tax everyone at high rates, or you pray and fast that oil reaches $ 150 a barrel.

Did you even listen to him at all?. He said Buhari did not make a fresh provision for subsidy, such that subsidy ends by june, therefore subsidy has officially ended with the last istration.

The very first budget that Buhari approved was subsidy provided for?
