Then why imply watching cartoons makes you irresponsible, when some cartoons are specifically made for just adults undecided

Which eye adult??

Are you a baby?

Stop telling Fables! undecided

Those animes are loved and painstakingly created every year by many grown men and women-- many of them now in their 50s/60s-- who also have responsibilities, some even more than you can ever dream of shouldering. Stan Lee, for example, continued pushing his comic dreams well into his 90s and he had responsibilities too. undecided

So stop hiding behind these useless tales typical of folks who are merely under-achievers with nothing but excuses to offer the world. undecided

Responsibility is not unique to any man or even adults. Even kids in that same Nigeria these days carry responsibility for head. So going around pretending you are made unique by claiming you get responsibility is sort of advertizing you are mediocre yet looking for praise. undecided

A married man has anonymously taken to social media to complain about his wife’s addiction to watching cartoons with their children.

According to him, his wife was always excited to watch and sing along to the cartoon with their kids and she would narrate the stories to them if they missed them.

According to the man, something must be wrong with his wife. While itting that she has not failed in her roles as a wife and mother to his kids, he reiterated his worry that he felt she should have grown past cartoons.

He appealed for help to fix the cartoon problem.

In his words:
"I feel like something is wrong, I don't really get her sometimes. She doesn't even watch the movies I want us to watch together unless I really encourage her. She acts like me not watching those their cartoons with them, I'm missing out on something great.

“My wife, 37 years old, enjoys watching cartoon even more than our kids. When I say cartoon, I mean animated movies.
Our first boy is 14 years old down to our last who is currently 4 years old.
They’ve turned the home into a cartoon home.
They are soo addicted, they sing their songs, do their dances and discuss those things all the time.

My wife at her age will be running as if something strange was happening and she forgets herself to be an adult sometimes.
I’ve tried to explain to her that I don’t really like it, I don’t complain because they are being happy but, I don’t understand my wife’s addiction. Even when the kids aren’t around, she’ll be watching animated movies alone.

Once they get home, she’s going to narrate all she watched to them and even demonstrate with actions some funny/emotional scenes.
I feel like something is wrong, I don’t really get her sometimes. She doesn’t even watch the movies I want us to watch together unless I really encourage her. She acts like me not watching those their cartoons with them, I’m missing out on something great.
Is there something I can do to help her? It’s somehow bothering me.

Kindly note that, she’s fully employed and still does her duties as a wife and a mother. I don’t have any problem on that side, I just feel she’s addicted to animated movies when actually, she has grown it.”

nothing is wrong with an adult watching animated movies. It is a way for your wife to bond and form an emotional connection with her children. (Except cocomelon, it's garbage.)

I grew up with my mom watching cartoons with us. In the time of video cassette she bought us pirated copies of Cinderella and swan princess in one cassette, then junglebook and little mermaid. She would sing the songs with us and discuss the cartoons. The moral lesson we learnt and even the new English word we heard in the cartoon for the first time, she would bring out the big Oxford dictionary, and look at the spelling, meaning and pronunciation with us. This set the foundation for my Excellent English skills today. I recently used a week to prepare for IELTS academic and ed in one sitting with a band 8.

When CDs was reigning she gradually amassed over 50 cartoons not just Disney and dream works, but even those ones that teach nursery rhymes to keep us entertained and out of trouble. By the time DSTV took over she also watched cartoon network and boomerang with us. She liked cow and chicken, Johnny bravo and Dexter's laboratory. But her favorite cartoon was Samurai Jack. She taught me to like Ed, Edd and Eddy because she said it had a lot of new words despite the drawings looking ugly to me. Right now she's downstairs watching The blue eyed Samurai on Netflix with my youngest. They plan to binge watch Castlevania or Scott pilgrim after that.

A lot of adults today watch cartoons. Anime has become very popular. Cartoons are good, clean, entertainment without violence and sexual content which is good for children. Most cartoons have more plot than African and Hollywood movies today.

Watching the cartoons is also a way to distress, to actively participate in her kids' lives, talk and interact with them, know their likes and dislikes.

Op should sit down and watch a cartoon with his wife and children.

I only my dad watching cartoons with us ONCE.(story for another time)

what's wrong with this man?,i am sure she knows exactly what age and when to stop watching those cartoons for the benefit of your children, its called home building and creating a bond, you are lucky you have a wife who plays like a child with her kids, she is the definition of an excellent mum who is capable of eliminating her own worries, such women dont even nag because they dont get sad,the fix problems,i love her vibration, she will stop the day your son turns 18years old, he should stop worrying about a great woman doing her thing, she is being a great mum thats all to it as long as she isnt destructive.there is nothing childish here, whats childish is him throwing a tantrum about his wife doing her chores well, how did she even end up with him?

So sad such intelligent women end up with f**ls. Like?

There is nothing wrong in watching cartoons. I watch all types of cartoons, barney, puppet, animation,as far as it is cartoon and not real humans,i enjoy them as most of their contents are wholesome. My dstv,it is only cartoon network i watch, gotv its jimjam. Cartoon is very funy and interesting to watch o sir. I will advice you to start from Avatar The Last Airbender. Just take your time to watch it with your wife. I learn alot from cartoons and get inspired from them too. I am am with 2 kids and i do not watch football, its cartoons all the way. Same goes for my siblings. I was nicknamed cartoon in my secondary school days as i speak and act like cartoon. Cartoon is the best when it comes to movie entertainment. I found myself with my kids watching this SpongeBob cartoon some days back and for close to 1 hr laughed like i hadnt in years. The world has become a really tough place and anything that allows you to forget your cares for some time and just relax should be encouraged. Obviously, your wife gets her delight from animated movies, some would say you are even lucky she is not addicted to those telemondo series that last for 20 years. It may not be your thing, but I suggest you dont rob her and your kids the opportunity to bond and laugh at these trying times.
