Has the councillor ever experienced backlash from right-wing groups? Sadly for the Chinedu fans in Nigeria, these are right wing fascists not the hood people of Ireland, their issue is with people of color including Chinedu fans in Nigeria. ...but guess what, the racists fascists didn't stop Irish people from electing their first African and black Mayor in 2007, a Yoruba man from Ogun state and several Yuruba folks are in political offices in Ireland. In fact, this woman is so accomplished in Ireland that she's a counselor, she's the head of a Major school board and so on, the Irish people put her there, not the online fascists and racist elements like some of the election losers we have in Nigeria. 5 Likes |

nobaga: Dude stop these lies. Eyo Ita was deputy Premier he was never Premier of Eastern region. What happened was following the death of Mbonu Ojike, there was an investigation into allegations of Financial misconduct levelled against Zik now Eyo Ita, Mbadiwe and some other NCNC people organised to take power from Zik. They wanted the Eastern house of Assembly to a vote of no confidence against Zik. But in a twist of events, the House ed a vote of confidence on Zik. Following this Zik demanded the resignation of all those in his cabinet who moved against him and tried to get him removed. Eyo Ita was one of them and so was Mbadiwe. So you guys should stop spreading these lies |

PlayMaker14: Ireland is the second home of the Yorubas. Tell your biaflan leaders to develop your backward region so that all of you will not be rushing to Yoruba land. Must you all live in the South West? The only people left behind in your region are those without transport fares. Even Aguluthief Obi lives in the South West 2 Likes |

Some years ago, I wrote on a thread, I said when a black man goes out to the world out. Of Africa. The white folks don't see an igbo, Nigerian Kenyan, fulani, south African. They see a black man, another black man who has found his way on their land. When we learn. To try and accommodate ourselves, the world see us better. |

Judolisco: Have you tried to contest? and you were not given chance? You guys are always crying on this rhetorics from your comfort zone. Those Yoruba that holds different political offices abroad, did they contest for those offices from ogbomosho? No! Most of them were born there, some had based there over decades and started participating in the country's electioneering process. Adenuga Yemisi is contesting for that office from Nigeria,, right? You must come and base in igbo land for some years, integrate into their system before you can start contesting for election there. You guys should stop crying like illiterates. |

Realtruth2023: So, you are here bad mouthing a Nigerian because she was nominated to run for and elective position, but you are also quick to let us know that Igbo people are also in elected positions in Ireland. See how hypocritical, duplicitous and deception you people are? All because of tribalism and low self esteem. Btw, regardless of Igbo or Yoruba positions in elected officials in Ireland, a Yuruba man from Africa remains the first African and Nigerian to become a Mayor in Ireland. 3 Likes |

Chinedu was rejected in Lagos not solely because of his tribe, but because of his anti Yoruba utterances and behaviour. You cannot say you want to represent a group of people and still wake up every day to insult, mock and ridicule them and their culture. 5 Likes |

slimthugchimee2: I get it But to be honest, do you think any White man can win election in Nigeria of today (even as a Nigerian citizen)? If No, then there's no need for them to contest and waste funds. There was one who tried to attempt it, but the reactions weren't favourable, I guess

They are right. You can't be offering good leadership in another man's land when you have not tried to rescue your wrecking ship of a country. Why should they trust your leadership when your country men are proving to be among the worst set of leaders in the world
