The only good place there is where we have those mainly 4 storeys and maybe one or two 5 storey buildings around upper eweka to Obossi end of that road down to Onitsha market...not main market...around Nkpor junction.
All the rest are slums bar the only GRA...Onitsha GRA phase 1 and 2....that they have.These are the main places you see that Igbo voltron post everytime on nairaland.
Okpoko slum is even bigger than that space.
If you read the history of Onitsha,the fairly developed area was developed by Igala-Benin-Yoruba descendants.Even the Obi of Onitsha attested to that.

Just this few things we dey happy. As far as I know Onitsha still needs good development. Last month I ed through , the entrance was very bad . Dirty and potholes just full every where.The governor cannot even make it well structured . It was just like an abandoned establishment

First of all, I don't know when you were born to make all these false claims...

But from when I was born multiple military regimes before democracy came in 1999, all federal roads were tolled, maybe you were born then but never traveled beyond your south west, that's why you think it only happened in the south west and Lagos Ibadan express road...

It was OBJ who removed all the toll gates on all federal roads in Nigeria and the reason was that he said for most number of years those toll gates existed they never remitted anything to the FG coffers and the FG was spending to maintain the roads. So he didn't see the usefulness of the toll gates...

Secondly the second Niger bridge was already tolled even before it was completed and opened for use, if you need proof I will bring it for you, Fashola already in advance announced that it will be tolled, and the toll gates were erected Even before the bridge was completed and opened.
