You dont pay for a visa without an approval "first" - do not do it again in your own interest, because not all tickets are refundable.
In this case, process this visa at the vfs to avoid the online drama.
Yes, you can use bolded but do not pay for it.
The embassy disapproves visas because of accomodation or hotel from third parties.
Do your booking directly with the hotel.

The official statement is on tourist and business visas. And not everyone is entitled to the five years visa - only business people who they deem qualified.

Secondly, I read on another thread and noticed that people are mistaking the non submission of port as visa free, this assumption is wrong. Nigerians still need to apply for visas to travel to SA, except that they won't be required to submit their ports at the time of applying. Moreover, we have been enjoying this service for nearly three years, so I don't understand why that is being announced now.

DHA replied today and it was rejected for two reasons.
Insufficient funds in bank statement and invalids yellow fever (my yellow fever card is actually valid).

I have been advised to re-apply physically, with another bank statement, since it’s a fully-funded invitation. Going to do that asap.

The processing fee 10,400+. SMS 400 + Courier service 6,000.

In total, the cost of applying at the Vfs office was 46,200 naira.

Search hotels around your intended area,
Go to the hotel website and make reservation . Print out the invoice sent.
Some hotels could charge , while some may not for reservations.
