This is a good development. Mr. President is doing well. Congratulations to the people of Ogoni land. Hopefully, more developmental projects will be taken to Ogoniland and indeed, the Niger Delta. They have every reason to now want the Tinubu istration to continue beyond 2027 so that all the good projects are fully completed and not derailed.

Nice development! I hope the government will also create enabling environment for companies, small businesses and solo entrepreneurs to strive. If not, we would continue to churn out graduates with little or no prospect of being gainfully employed. 8 Likes |

How many unis does FG have now How have they been funded and how will they be funded going forward Shouldn't we instead encourage more private participation in tertiary education instead of all these universities springing up everywhere? Besides, it seems this clueless APC govt have no serious response to national issues The issue with Ogoniland is cleanup and environmental restoration not education about environment cleanup. How will a university of environment help with the clean up or restore the ecosystem? How does it restore the livelihood and living of the longsuffering people of Ogoniland Will it also ensure that best practices are employed in further oil activities to prevent a reoccurrence of the previous disaster on an even worse scale? I raised concern about the presence of major politicians in the entourage to discuss the Ogoni issue It seems I've been vindicated. This is simply tokenism and whitewashing and is not even close to addressing the real and germane issues facing the good people of that area 7 Likes 1 Share |

Why not clean up Ogoni land instead. Proliferation of Universities and Polytechnics where there are no jobs to absorb graduates. The most important next step for the average Nigerian Graduate is to Japa. The higher institutions we have on ground are nothing to write home about 10 Likes 1 Share |

JAWBONE: And its impossible to clean up and still have this institute of learning in the same place? Does it even make sense that the ND despite all the crude deposits there do not have this kinda school over there? You should have asked that they scrap the university of petroleum too 26 Likes 2 Shares |

Excellent decision. To whiners, snap out of election mode. It's over until the next cycle. Commend the good, criticize the bad. Com: What would my comment be if the decision was made by my candidate as president? 1 Like |

Another bold step forward! President Tinubu’s g of the bill to establish the Federal University of Environmental Technology in Ogoni is a visionary move believe it or not (though I'm not a fan of his). This not only addresses environmental challenges but also empowers the region through education and innovation.
