This is probably a style that was in use before. Just like he changed the national anthem to the old one.
Nope!

Most dropouts leave schools after JSSCE. I think this will go a long way in reducing the rate of dropouts at that point in the educational lives of our children in Nigeria.

Directionless from top to bottom. Focus should be on updating the outdated curriculum.

First Grade to 12th grade just like in the US.
This man is trying to implement US educational system in Nigeria.
It won't work, Nigerias are fantastically corrupt.
That's the main problem, not the system itself.

Our education system should give compulsory room for vocational training, tech skills etc. The world is changing and our educational system should be adjusted to fit into the new world. Let's do away wit our archaic and precolonial system of education.

The future is tech. AI is taking over. Acquiring tech skills should be a must in our educational system.

6-3-3-4 is common sense.
9-3-4 is common sense.
6-6-4 is also common sense.
12-4 is insanity.
Grade 2, NCE, and B.Sc in the same space is no good for the educators and the educated as well.
Those behind this policy are far from sanity.

Immediately I saw the name as 'Alausa' I sighed and went over to next topic
Alausa means Hausa land in my language, and I know Hausa is not fair to western education but Arabic education

It is now new wink Most of the standard private schools have been running this for decades.

A single school will have Primary 1 class all the way to SS3! Some of the people commenting here attended such schools yet could not fathom that their education was based on that model. Smh

Smh. Ignorance is bliss. Alausa is a Yoruba word for Walnut and owners of Walnut plantations/merchants of walnuts in Yorubalamd usually bear such names.

He's from Lagos.

Doesn't seem any better to me.
Whether 12-4 o, or 16-0, or even 10-10, doesn't really matter.
Curriculum is the key not the pattern. Even as it is now @ 6-3-3-4 if they improve on the curriculum there'll still be a massive upgrade in standard of education.

Well, whatever!!!

If you don't invest and improve the standard and quality of education at all levels, then this is nothing but window dressing.

This ought to be secondary to critically addressing the main issues affecting education in Nigeria... Starting from budgetary allocation to that sector.

After 12 years, you can opt for any vocational training of your choice. Or do you want to start a vocational training from infancy?

I'm no er of Tinubu, but I think there's some sense in this policy and its worth giving a good attention to.
