Thanks for your response. The COS was issued in January 2024, before the dependent rule change. This issue has been ongoing for over a year. I only found out about it last week, and no emails were received—including in the spam/junk folders.

Goke7:

Has he checked his spam box? Or test to generate a share code to see if he has a valid evisa? Was he perhaps sent an email to request for more details or documents he didn’t respond to? So many questions? The denial for the wife may be related to her not qualified for a dependent visa under the current rules. My thoughts

Hi Guys,

Please, I need your insight on this issue.

A friend in the UK applied for a work visa under the Health and Care category but never received an approval or denial email. However, his wife, who applied as a dependent, received a denial email.

Despite multiple phone calls and emails to the Home Office to understand why the main applicant never received any response, there has still been no . Meanwhile, the applicant’s legal status has now expired, and they don’t know what to do.

NB
We can confirm that the Certificate of Sponsorship (COS) is not the issue.

The COS as also since expired as it’s been over 4 months

What was the reason given for the dependant's refusal?

Has the applicant checked with the sponsor that they haven't received any pending emails from the Home Office requesting further information or clarification on the role or CoS?

I'm not a guru

Personally, I'd start by envisioning how much I'm likely or target to save over the course of the year. Then secondly, how soon would I be looking to buy a house- if its above 3 yrs (some say 5), I'd rather go with S&S Lisa as the returns are likely to be better. Except you have big pockets, when buying a house, you're likely to empty most of your savings eitherway

600x 12 = 7.2k.
I'd first fill my LISA - S&S preferably.
The rest would be a split of S&S ISA and some cash for as emergeny funds. I tend to keep the minimal cash I need- but thats just me

Thank you so much jedisco and everyone else that commented l… i am sorry for a late response i have been quite busy.

From my understanding of what you said jedisco, your most prefered is life time ISA (stock and shares not the cash one). Please why would u prefer the lisa stock and shares to the cash one that the government gives 25% on in each tax year.

Also is the lisa stock and shares not more risky as isnt stock nd shared like forex where you can loose money?? Also i dont think the govt gives 25% on the stock and shares lisa right??

Please forgive me if i have used any wrong terminology, i am completely new to this world of investing and i will be glad if yu can clarify my confusions.

Also @lexusgs i am hoping to do a ling term investment, from my research i have seen long term investment pays better.

If you're looking at buying a property within 3 years + under 40 years old.... Open a LISA today and deposit £4K before April 4, so you can claim your free £1K, from HMRC......

Regarding investment in shares or index funds, you can do a combination of both..... Individual shares are more risky than index funds, but could offer better returns (in the short term).....

An index fund, offers better returns for long term investors.....

LISA is basically, cash isa..... Whilst stock and share ISA, exposes you to the stock market (which is got it's advantages and disadvantages).... 😁😂

Which would i advise you to choose? I am not a financial expert, you can consult geh geh....... 😊😁

Thank u baba… i am hoping to buy a house in 3 years( i am 25 years). Sorry sir i think you might be confusing a few things. Based on what i read :

LISA(lifetime isa) = lifetime savings where govt tops 25% which is not accessible unless u wanna buy a home.

Cash isa= normal savings can be accessed anytime and most providers have between 3%-5% interest rate.

On a side note if i go with LISA i would have 15k in 3 years(assuming i put 4k each year).. 15k is not enough deposit for a house in London hence me wanting to get involved with other investment strategies.

I would read up about index fund, didn’t come across this one. So far i have ed money box, i am hoping to use them for everything investments.

When I said LISA is like ISA, it's full of sarcasm.... 😂

Have you thought about what happens to a LISA , after home purchsse or not eventually buying a home...... 😁

You can keep paying into your LISA, until you turn 50 and HMRC would continually credit you 25%......

Only snag is, you can't access the funds till you retire, or you get penalised...... Now why would I do this, when I could rather open a SIPP and have full investment opportunities + full exposure to the largest market in the world...... 😂🌍

If he applied in January 2024, he will have a UKVI , and will be able to see all his applications there, including any outcome, pending status and his current visa status.

Also, if his wife's application was denied, they'd have given a reason. This information will also be available to her in her UKVI .

If the COS was issued before the immigration rules of January 2024, was the application done then too?
Might be worth getting a lawyer to investigate for you directly because from what I understand, they would be able to reveal the current application status for the MA/whatever the delay might be through the immigration lawyer.

Good day sirs/mas

Please I need your assistance.

I have UK Global talent visa and I have collected my BRP card which is still valid until 2026. But I have stayed 8months on a stretch outside the UK. Will I still be allowed to enter the UK?

I'm aware I cannot count the year towards ILR application in the future. I just want to know if I will be allowed to enter the UK and not denied at the port of entry

Kindly assist.

Thank you
Sorry can I ask a question regarding this visa?

Some of the cases are complicated, some are case of agent of agent, some non agents collected money from family and friends to give agent for COS.

Has any of them been prosecuted or even arrested?
