No House of Reps Member Receives Less Than ₦1bn For Constituency Project (10614 Views)

lexy2014: He probably gave them for 2 reasons; firstly, you chop where you work. Secondly, do something for your people so that you can either be ed or re-elected. But I have to say something you already know (because I can see some brilliant reasoning in your question) These reps knows that there's nothing they will do for the masses that will be appreciated, so they just do what they like and share among their friends and keep the rest. They don't care about masses anymore. I stand to be corrected though. |

This is obviously a serious matter. This federal government will amount to a huge fraud if it pays each senator #2b and each Rep. #1b We have 109 senators, that means 109x#2b = #218b per year Rep. 360 @#1b = #360b per year Total of #578b per year excluding allowances All put together may amount to 1trn. I doubt if it is feasible, but with APC were snakes and monkeys swallowed money anything fraudulent is possible no matter how odd it sounds. However I keep my fingers crossed, because that may actually be the reason why nothing is going well in this tinubu government and everyone is running to the looting. God will deliver us from APC and tinubu. |

cjudy:..this is why during election they will find every means to rig the election to favour them..hire thugs to snatch ballot boxes and destroy polling units and chase away voters that want to vote against them..they do all of these to desperately win election illegally..it's a pity |

And there, ladies and gentlemen, is the corruption itself. Expunge it and the fight against corruption will really gather momentum. If this continues unabated then corruption will continue to thrive. |

He did this knowing fully well that these men will not execute the projects yet he chose to remove subsidy. All these are done at the expense of the innocent masses

So our presido removed the subsidy, and instead of using the money to build government refineries to boost local production to reduce fuel pump price to make lives easier for the citizens,he use the money to share as a national cake to the governors and Federal Lawmakers? Uwoooh, wonders shall never end! Somebody like my HoR member, since 2023 that he was voted in,till today, nobody carry eyes like this see him for the community. My senator, ewoooi, that one,nah Abuja based. Ohh,the aim of subsidy removal has totally been defeated. |

showboy2301: tinubu cant give them for the two reasons you stated because the two reasons you gave are two sides of a coin. its either one of the reasons or the other. it begs the question...which work have the legislators been doing with all the constituency project money they have been receiving? I dont already know what it is you are saying. what exactly is the job of legislators as enshrined in the constitution? can you state anywhere it is stated in the constitution that a legislator is supposed to do his job on the condition that he or she is appreciated by the electorate or constituents? is the legislator doing the citizens a favour that if he is not appreciated then he now takes public and use for personal purpose? is there provision in the constitution for legislators to use public funds for personal use because they are not appreciated by their constituents? |

Jaylord12: Tinubu lacks the power to do that. It is for the people of the constituency to hold their representatives able for all the money their leaders have been collecting. Jaylord12: Unfortunately, there's no way he can help. He has done his bit, let the people do theirs. |
