He didn't have access to that as a normal citizen, or are they saying even Tinubu couldn't afford it at the time? It must be either of the two..

The issue was just emerging then and they were probably trying to find the best treatment

Funny how Tinubu’s health suddenly did a 180 - No more trembling hands, no more “wet patches,” everything’s just magically fine now.
You have to wonder: why didn’t he sort himself out before running for president?
Are we seriously supposed to believe that a man of his wealth couldn’t afford the treatment earlier?
Or is there some secret elite clinic that only opens its doors to sitting presidents?

The problem was never officially acknowledged but like Ibime said it looked neurodegenerative and Parkinson-like.

If he has moved from taking pills to having DBS surgery, a continuous infusion, or even experimental stem cell therapy it could explain the dramatic improvement.

Also, the stress of electioneering and not having time to treat himself or even rest could have made the symptoms worse than they should have been at that time.

Allegedly.

It's a very wicked reverse. The athlete earnings decline as they age. The others earnings increase as they age. If you're not a 1percenter 1percenter you're basically in the hands of God.

From feeding your entourage (I can't imagine the kin billing person like Osimhen go dey face)

Then the fact that you have to stretch that paper as long as possible to maintain lifestyle will have you taking all kinds of financial risks and you get burned

Osimhen billing is OK because it's Naira based billing, plus Osimhen be like who go quick insult you if you push boundaries

Na those American footballers wey dey carry entourage in dollar billings wey I pity

For Osimhen to settle a relative in one of Jarus duplex in Lekki is N75m (just £30k) but for an American footballer to settle his relative with a house in US in decent neighborhood, he done enter £300k plus. A 10x difference.

This is exactly why politicians loot - they get addicted to a lifestyle they can no longer afford or walk away from, so they treat public funds like a personal ATM.

There’s a particular politician who represented Somolu constituency at the Lagos state house of assembly for 4 i. e 16 years as a member of Lagos state house of assembly . His name is Rotimi Olowo.

He decided to step up to Federal House of assembly in 2023 so he collected APC nomination form for Federal house of reps for 2023 elections..

Due to the electoral act 2022 that forbids a candidate from holding two nomination forms at the same time , he couldn’t get the Lagos state house of assembly nomination form as insurance in case his federal house of assembly fails. ( This same law affected Akpabio and Ahmad Lawan but they bent the law and worked their way back to senate after contesting APC presidential Primary )

Unfortunately for him, he lost the APC primary for the federal house of assembly post and he can’t go back for the state house of assembly own. That was how he lost out and wasn’t on ballot at all during the 2023 general elections .

This man stayed just 2 years out of office and guess what ? He contested the recently concluded APC primaries for Somolu Local Government. I mean someone who was a state house of assembly member is contesting to be a local government chairman within 2 years of not chopping politics money. This is to buttress ur point that once they taste public funds , there’s no going back. They will do everything possible to find their way back to the cookie jar .

I saw a video of Arsenal’s Gabriel Meghaeles watching Arsenal v Madrid second leg with his family in his living room. The family consist mainly of brothers , sisters , cousins , etc.

In my mind I was wondering what it would cost him to make all of those family live comfortably well just because he now plays for a top club and earns big .

Big money big problems .

The real problem is that as a celebrity athlete, his earnings are in the public domain. No coding.

Not like Ibime who can oppress boys here then turn round and tell billers with a straight face I got no doe.

$1k per day easy

Assume bank interest rate of 4% which is the current rate in the money markets

Case of $5m: Compound 5m over 30 years at 4% interest is $16.22m

Case of $1k: Compound the first $365k over 29.5 years, the second $365k over 28.5 years and so on in an arithmetic progression and you land at $20.88m after the 30 years.

I use 29.5, 28.5, 27.5 etc to bring approximate linearity to the calculation as the interest on your $1k on 1st Jan is not the same as the interest accrued on 31st Dec, so use half years for the first year of investment

The only reason to accept the $5m upfront is if you can guarantee a return better than the bank by 0.9% (so 4.9% return) - and assuming you cannot also throw your $1k per day into the same 4.9% yield investment. Let's say there is an instrument with a minimum investment requirement of $5m

Why are your guys mentioning me? 😆

His entire generation is already set for life with his current salary. Take note this is just basic salary. He would still be earning huge amounts from Sponsorship, Endorsement and commercial deals on the side. Anything more is just luxury.

Dey play. If he doesn't have good money management skills he'll blow everything even if it's $200m, it might just take more time. I don't wish that on him though, and hope money doesn't sway him.

I suspect the aggressive push for a sole candidature for 2027 is because they want the man to avoid a tough campaign trail.

Even the Rome he went to a couple days back, na so so push dem dey push am...he's likely better than he was 2023 campaigns, but I believe he can relapse with stress.

UN has refused to participate in the new gaza aid mechanism, for an organization that falsely accuses Israel of genocide they seem to be happy to let Palestinians starve how wonderful.

Mainstream media are not reporting it , UN says it's not enough calling it humiliating, Hamas sympathizers are comparing it to Nazi concentration camp/Holocaust.

In others words Israel should step aside so that UN will continue their propaganda while receiving funds from Qatar.

Whether they like it or not this new mechanism is here to stay ,if you are not a terrorist you have nothing to fear

It is why most athletes, particularly NFL players front load their contracts. Their annual earning from a long term contract increases as they age.

Honestly, while lifestyle is a thing, many athletes are reckless spenders. Many of them also have bad influences and have never had good mentors around them. Take for instance Tatum. He said, his mom advised him not to touch a dime from his NBA salary. He has been living comfortably off his numerous endorsements, deals. JB is same way. He is investing aggressively without touching his main salary.

These players understand the game, they have seen their predecessors fail and are not going to make same mistake. Their shelf lives as athletes can go from 10 to 2 years in a minute or even over.

A lot of these players get carried away by the lifestyle they forget to make even basic decisions that guarantee their financial security long term.

lol. I'm a mad Nas guy in the 90s. But the truth is when you personally reach a level of expertise in something, you cannot go back to the building blocks that you used to first learn basic structures. cos they are basic and they can't add anything to your learning anymore. 2001 to 2008 is a long time to be releasing garbage and expect me to jump back on like you never left. Same reason I left Eminem behind after Marshall Mathers album

The truth is, I look for wit and comedic value in my rappers first and foremost, then I go into intricate rhyme schemes, then how the music sounds sonically. When Nas was busy taking his wack hiatus from 2001 to 2008, I mostly pivoted into mixtape rappers like Saigon, Crooked I, Royce da 59 and now I follow the likes of 38 Spesh. These are guys who are way advanced lyrically and in flow structure than what was fresh about Nas in the 1990s. Every generation innovates, even Eminem's flow develops every time while Nas is sounding like the lazy version of his 1990s self. The reason I name checked Method Man is because he has been featuring with all these new rappers and holding his own, he worked on his pen. I listened to some part of King Diseases and Nas flow is choppy like the worst of Nas, not as clean and crisp as it was on I am. I am should be his pinnacle of landing every bar on beat but throughout his career (and even on I am), he has too often slipped into choppy flows that don't land crisply at the end of the snares. Reason I like IWW is cos he landed crisply too.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DPqra-tB31c?si=Go8IJgmnlSx8Yifj

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPGWarEdQc8?si=CrwahMCQD2_cwyJE

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JsTgE0wO0XI?si=ZiQn02AX6xV4CjlT

Listen to these songs with open mind. I'm surprised you're still talking about IWW and co, when Nas has dropped 3-4 well respected and acclaimed body of work.

You mentioned Eminem but Eminem Show was better than MMLP, Recovery was equally as good. I listened to Eminem new album was mehh. He's rapping at 1.75x speed. That's about it

Back to Nas. You see all these guys you mentioned. They have the odd guest verse, one or two tracks here and there but they don't make good music. All their rap na battle rap material. I don't have time for that. I bleeped with Slaughterhouse when they came out I liked their shit but it was inconsistent and didn't always land

I don't rate this era of rappers so that's maybe where me and you are different. I'm highly unimpressed. I rather listen to KD3 than anything out there right now from Drake or Cole and even Dot

Of course Nas delivery and beat selection has never been his strong suit. If Nas could deliver his bars like a Dr Dre (no rapper has a better delivery IMO) for example he would probably be the goat

Speaking of Method Man I heard him with Redman on Lalala. I don't see much difference in the flow. Listen to A-yo that came out 16 years ago and tell me what the difference is.
Besides Method's pen has always been legit.

More importantly I don't rate this era of rappers or rap. I think both the male and female MCs are mostly trash. So I don't rate any rapper by his ability to switch to or hang with rappers of today cos you will have to dumb down your flow, cadence and everything else to even do that. Jay Z fell on to that trap and I cringed each time I heard him on verses but I'm glad he stopped

Nas didn't have to do that. Which is why we got the KD trilogy

Expenses expenses Broski. Not even comparable what you spend vs those guys. We've heard and seen too many instances

Only a crazeman will take 40 years money in 4 years. Do you know how short 4 years is? That's a World Cup. I can still Kolo Muani last minute sitter of Konate's hoof and another World cup is barely a year away

4 years is a fuckin short time to stretch money for 40 years

There's a reason players take on other jobs like management and TV gigs etc.

Only the elite of the elite that made too much to go broke and maybe in this era where the money is the best it's ever been

But we see most of even our Super Eagles that year. They made good money but where are they now? Cele was making $25k a week in the late 90s. Still fell on hard times

It's lack of financial literacy that's really the problem. You can get past the lack of qualifications but when you're not financially literate, nobody will tell you that car you're buying depreciates in value by 25% soon as you drive it off the lot, not all property is good property.

Na true sha. The fact that he's not going to be doing any western style marriage has already reduced his chance of going broke by 50%

I think guys are generally just armed with more financial resources now to where it will take a lot of effort for someone of Osimhen's stature to run down completely

The reason why u see people like Akpabio , Orji Uzor Kalu, Ben Bruce , etc endorsing him is because stealing and corruption is not something that can get u jailed under this istration except u are unfortunate to be playing on the wrong team when ur hand is caught in the cookie jar.

I watched the video of the EFCC chairman making excuse for Tompolo suggesting the video of him abusing the Naira may be Ai and I just shook my head . So suddenly EFCC can give suspects right to fair hearing.

It’s not even about tribalism or anything ; everybody just feels that if Tinubu with all his baggage’s can be the president of the country ; then why will they that have very little comma here and there in their story not be able to enjoy the political goodwill that comes with kissing the ring ? 🤷‍♂️. It’s not like ur lips will be removed when u kiss the ring sef
