Northern lady expresses deep concern over the introduction of Computer-Based Testing for WAEC and NECO. Said that this development could lead to a significant disaster, as about 99% of students in the North have never used a computer, let alone acquired basic computer literacy 💔💔

Hmm 🧐. And she made a salient point here. Glitch will always occur in the CBT settings in exams preparation

Isn't it a big shame that most secondary school students across the country don't have access to computers in this 21st century? In this era of high tech, ICT and Artificial Intelligence?
.. SMH

Anyway, it is not yet too late. Another WAEC/NECO won't come up again until next year 2026. There is still time to introduce computers and CBT training in our secondary schools so as to prepare the candidates for next year. We can't continue with all these achaic models of education. If we don't get it right academically, we can never get it right politically and economically. Knowledge is POWER 💪🇳🇬.

Take it up with the thieves that you elected who are using Shariah and religion to make you people so backward. You should be ashamed madam. They still have one year to learn how to use a mouse to select the right answers.

It is Religion that hinders them and not WAEC or NECO. 5 northerners are always willing to teach a child religion but not technical abilities.
GEJ made frantic efforts to resuscitate that place but you Guys used Broom to sweep him off the ground.
Same way you people gave the country Buhari, same measure should be used to approach waec & Neco via "technical glitches"

STOP complaining!
You Guys shouldn't always be holding the entire country back. Why must others wait 4u?

The rest of the world are tired of all these shameless excuse for ignorance! Enough is Enough!
Northern Nigeria is not the only region practising Islam. Why is their own brand of Islam backward and counter development?!

A region lagging behind in education is closing schools for a whole month because of Ramadan!
Hellooo! Stop the useless complaints already!

The Hallmark of education is to learn and break new frontiers.
Anyone not ready to embrace development(CBT) can continue using slate and charcoal! Unfortunately, Analog and manual way of doing things have lost their relevance in today's world!

If their leaders can discard Camels for SUV, Hunt and mud houses for luxurious mansions, what useless excuse do the youth still have dragging others backward?!
Infact, if only half of the energy employed to indoctrinate these children with religious fanatism can be used to introduce CBT, I trust the North to do better than children from other regions!
Enough is Enough I say! The world will not wait for Nigeria because some people sees western education as Haram!

Your governors should copy what Peter Obi did many years ago. Do massive installation of computers 🖥️💻 in the schools. This will boost computer literacy and mastery

Nigeria's North cannot keep holding the rest of the country back. The governors need to up their game. Using paper and pen has become obsolete in the 21st century.

Education in Northern States is just a mess. But why won't it be mess wey a governor will declare public holiday because of fasting.

The world will not remain stagnant because some people hate development.

That’s the way it is. Agreed with you.
We have been saddled with this quota system, that has handed unfair advantage to the “north”. Notice that is used the name north in quote. I am of the opinion that each time they refer to the north, they simply infer the northeast and northwest. We do not find such issues in large scale in the north central.

Today the challenge has been that the south labors to get education, the north simply get the jobs, with little scores.

Northerners are actually alienated from ICT

Tunji-Alausa is clearly out of touch with the Nigerian reality, man still thinks he’s in a tech lab somewhere in Chicago. I’m honestly surprised he hasn’t suggested integrating AI into the curriculum while he’s at it. This is what happens when we keep importing technocrats who’ve spent the last 40 years abroad, far removed from the dry chalkboards and empty classrooms of Sokoto, Zamfara, or Katsina.

Let’s not forget it was Tahir who thought kids must be 16 to enter university, now we have Alausa pushing Computer-Based Testing (CBT) across WAEC and NECO. Has he physically stepped foot into a school in Bakori (Katsina), Dandume (Katsina), Sabon Birni (Sokoto), or Goronyo (Kano)? Some of those schools need roofs, not routers. They need teachers, not touchscreens. They need clean water and toilets, not tablets.

When will these ministers realize you can’t code your way out of structural poverty? CBT in schools without power, without training, without infrastructure is not innovation—it’s elite delusion in action.”

Then it should be a nationwide problem. She clearly said Arewa for a reason. The Stare Governors, Senators and House of Reps are the problem. They are busy using religion to rob their people blind. Institute Shariah to finish them off if they complain. Why will Government in Lagos be responsible for what a Governor in the North is doing to his people.
