Nigerians can be dangerously cruel to each other. The filling station rakes in humongous sums of money but pays pittance to their staff. I mean it amazes me how some of these employers sleep properly at night. This same thing is obtained in private schools and some manufacturing companies scattered around the country. It is part of this reason that these girls resort to other "ways" to survive. Be strict, yes, but ensure your workforce earn a liveable income and work in decent condition. |

brain54:why would the guy lie about something as sensitive as that and post it on SM knowing it might go viral and he also gave detailed information. The labour laws in this country is still very weak and I’m not surprised some wicked employers are still enslaving people in the name of offering them jobs. We still have contracts staffing going on in most banks and organisations and this shouldn’t be happening in 2025, the labour union should be fighting against this instead of their own selfish interests all the time because less than 10% of the total work force benefits from the minimum wage increase ![]() |

It may be true or false. The realistic is that many people (family men and women) in this country still earn 10k as monthly salary

I don't believe this. They are definitely paid more. Bad as e bad, N30000. Anyone that stays long on these lowpaying job is either lazy, low self-esteemed or fraudulent. Lazy - the current job offers some physical and mental monotony that they can't bother to change. Low self-esteem - they don't see themselves doing better. Fraudulent - they make kickbacks on the job. I rather sell fried yam and sweetpotatoes with peppered ponmo at a busy junction than work 30days a month for 10k. 10,000 / 30 = N333.33/daily. Not even up to a pet coke price. 5 Likes |

Hezzyluv: You are absolutely correct, that's how some of them make their money. Yes I've been privileged to engage a couple of fuel attendant workers in some filling station and uh they also said this same thing that they don't care about the money they are being paid. Infact this is the major reason why some of these fuel uh this is for some of this filling station don't pay well because they know that they are workers it get places where they wait and they get their own Court so there's no light there there's no light there is he is the truth |
LordBiden(m): 3:47pm On Jun 02 |
Pootle:I don't believe this. I have never seen a rich fuel attendant. So you think there are no senior staffs monitoring their jobs. |

Chilipepper: With this post, all the staff job is at risk. But take note that the staff earn above 30k each. |
Pootle: 3:54pm On Jun 02 |
LordBiden: my friend worked as a moblie fuel attendant back in the day, he bought vanagon for transport business then. this was when the price of fuel was not what it is now. i also have a friend who manage one of his father filling stations and they dont pay their staffs well due to the attendants shortchanging customers, some times ago last month a man was trending when he was shouting that the attendant short over 5k from his purchase |

RollinTNDA:Na so! You think it's that easy to alter metre. Occasionally yes,but if you do it for a full day,not even a week on a consistent basis, you would be found out by motorists or the owner one way or the other. Besides that, have you seen when metres are being configured? You think it's something anyone working in a fuel station can do? Even most managers can't do it,they have to call a technician with the knowledge to adjust the metre. They throw any kind of story for you people and you believe hook, line and sinker. Yes,in big urban centres, attendants can make money through tips or other means, but metre tampering, oboy,na lamba. During scarcity too thats when they also make enough extra dough 2 Likes 1 Share |

How much is a Lecturer in Nigeria paid with high inflation in the country? 50k private 90k govt. And you have to go to work everyday and publish research and acquire higher education from that money or you will be sacked. Is this not slavery?? ![]() ![]() |
Love800(m): 4:06pm On Jun 02 |
Yea. You are very correct. Me i think they are illegal incentives or side hustles behind the actual pay. That is way they are still on the job. Just like civil servants, the job security, back-door allowances and freedom to engage in other businesses outside their usual job, makes dem stay put to the job, even when their salary is poor! datola: 1 Like 1 Share |
Pootle: 4:10pm On Jun 02 |
seborrhic: not all the meter are compromised, why are you guys acting like you not Nigerians. the most dubious ppl in the world are located here. another reason this country can get better |
Abagworo(m): 4:10pm On Jun 02 |
Chilipepper: She lied to the dude. They earn between 45 and 120k depending on the nature of job. If it's full time they're paid 80 to 120k but if it's half day they're paid 45 to 60k. |
Inosky: 4:15pm On Jun 02 |
