President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday received the Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, at his private residence in Lagos, News360 Nigeria reports.

Also present at the visit was business magnate Chief Adedeji Adeleke and globally recognised Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, better known as Davido.

Governor Adeleke confirmed the visit on his official X handle, writing:

"This evening, alongside the scion of the Adeleke dynasty, my big brother, Dr. Deji Adeleke, and my nephew, whom we are immensely proud of, David Adeleke, popularly known as @davido, we paid a courtesy visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at his Lagos residence ahead of the Sallah celebration."

News360 Nigeria recalls that Davido, along with of his team including Cubana Chief Priest, had earlier visited President Tinubu at Aso Rock days before this latest meeting.

The visit, coming ahead of the 2026 Osun governorship election where Tinubu’s party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), is expected to challenge Governor Adeleke, has stirred conversations in political circles.

The president should be convening regular emergency meetings with governors and legislators to discuss strategies for advancing Nigeria and enhancing the well-being of its people. A truly caring president prioritizes the needs of the populace. I cast my vote for Tinubu in 2023, but so far, I have seen no positive outcomes. The ongoing inflation has made it increasingly difficult to afford basic necessities. Unfortunately, it seems that fraudsters, drug dealers, and criminals are the ones benefiting from the government's actions. I am deeply dissatisfied with the current istration.

Pay the Osun APC local government elected officials you unjustly sacked their entitlements or obey the court ruling and have peace. Why choosing difficult road when you have peaceful path in front of you?
