I have read this post 3 times. When a Leader speaks, you have no choice but to be motivated by the spirits behind his letters, especially the ending part of his comment 17 Likes 2 Shares |

I am not happy. They bulldozed the house I grew up in to build this road and paid us paltry #6 million. Why not just connect the road to the lagos calabar road instead of destroying people's ancestra home.

Agbegbaorogboye: And your wisdom cannot digest the beauty 😍 of the good news of Nigeria owning a Refinery? Why are you so always negative? Radarada 2 Likes |

Agbegbaorogboye:People like Otedola should even be more critical of Tinubu bcs they lose more fortune under him. These are the guys behind fuel subsidy scam but Tinubu cut it off. The economic recession orchestrated by Tinubu reform of removal of fuel and dollar subsidies has more negative impact on Otedola than you poor man. Yet he sees more opportunity going forward and has started to restrategize to harness the prospective goodness. You poor people remain in the same mindset and will still not benefit from the new Nigeria. After God na Tinubu ![]() 3 Likes |

The refinery is truly massive

lailo:Why are you crying? The irony of your statement, which shows how confused you are, is that you directly accuse Otedola of being part of the fuel subsidy scammers but your concern is how much "fortune" he's set to lose not how much he has robbed and ruined the country according to you. If we're to go by your logic, it means he's simply positioning himself well with Tinubu for another round of heist in the nation’s resources which is what you frame as strategizing to harness opportunities. You see how twisted your mind is? You see a thief restrategizing to carry out another robbery on our common resources and you think it's a good thing. Since you have the right mindset. Can you inform me how much you've been able to steal from Nigeria since Tinubu took office or you're just another poor man like me but one who loves his oppressors? |

The refinery is no doubt a good investment and kudos should also be given to the various PDP istrations for creating the enabling opportunities that encouraged the investments right from 2002. But the fact remains, has the refinery benefited the masses or the elites? While it is very true that Dangote is in business to make money, the apc istration has not created the enabling socio-economic conditions for the masses to benefit, reasonably, from this laudable venture. The exchange rate remains high, the price of PMS remains high and these two issues have had a significantly negative cummulative, cascading and choking effect on the masses. People like Otedola, who have been institutionally, generationally, politically and i dare say, suspiciously, insulated from the long term negative consequences of the reforms, and even profit from it, cannot be a true measure of the success or otherwise of those reforms. Bat, and indeed any government at the centre, need to be more people oriented in thier approach to governance and socio-economic development, beyond the pallative gestures and infrastructural contracts to cronies. Aside cutting down government expenditure, the government must embrace and toe the same austerity path they have subjected the masses to. Also, it must address the core of any nation that wants to develop, harnessing at least 80% of the natural resources. Nigeria is blessed with so much, and yet, the economic and political elites have cornered those resources to the detriment of the masses. |

Yes tinubu is a bold visionary, very bold ideas no doubt but the execution of the bold idea and overall purpose and function does not translate or produce the expected benefits to Nigerians. it is not enough to be a bold visionary. what are the benefits of the bold visions? what is the intention? Look at dubai, A bold vision devoid of mediocrity or corruption and serving all with enormous benefits. |
