What does ‘omote’ mean?

You know we have different kinds of red peppers in Nigeria. Bell pepper is the same as the fat green peppers we use in fried rice but I find it easier to find it in different colors here, red, yellow, orange and green.

I’m sure we have them in Nigeria too but I don’t know what they are called so I used the more common green peppers as example.

Bell pepper is the green one in fried rice and the red one Yoruba’s call tatashe. That we blend with tomatoes and scotch bonnet to make stew
