Disgraced Nigeria U-19 stranded after Angry NFF dumps them, pays them 5000 Naira only Several Nigeria U19 players were stranded in Abuja on return from the Suwon International Tournament in South Korea after they were each paid five thousand Naira as transport fare back to their bases by the NFF who according to sources said NFF officials were angry with the players for disgracing the entire Football loving Nigerians and the country. Nigeria lost all their three matches (8-1 to England, 1-0 to Iran and 3-0 to hosts Korea) to finish rock bottom of the competition. Team officials received 10,000 Naira with head coach Manu Garba paid double that amount. The tournament organizers paid the NFF an appearance fee besides paying for their flight tickets and boarding in Korea. The Nigeria U19s, made up by the core of the U17s who failed to qualify for next year’s U17 AFCON in Madagascar, posted a dismal outing at the invitational Suwon tourney. http://get9jasports..com.ng/2016/11/disgraced-nigeria-u-19-stranded-after.html 1 Like 4 Shares |

Wickedness... Why leave them stranded. Disband them but get them to their villages, I mean, final destinations first.

lol, This must be a joke, if not, its a total disrespect to them. NFF should stop acting like a kid, everyday is not holiday, you cannot expect win win situation all the time. The Good, the bad, the philosophy of life you cannot cheat

Blessed are those who do not expect anything for they shall not be disappointed - 2nd Phillipians For those complaining, If you carry last for class, ur papa no dey flog you? They are even lucky sef. If na me be NFF Head, Once they land Naija, I would just hire one danfo from Oshodi to take all those boys straight to Ladipo Market to go and learn fan belt business. Soccer no be for everybody. 21 Likes 1 Share |

I'm not giving excuses for their failure at the suwon tourney but come on, what were we expecting... Bunch of Sec.School/local academy "neonates" of 15-16yrs VS 19yr olds with top flight experience. Those lads from Nigeria are U16s not U19s... Bunch of 15-16 yr olds who were to feature in next year's U-17 WC had they qualified.... Abeg... U-19 is too much for them. Na U-16s dem be... #fact.. England paraded the likes of Dominic Solanke (Chelsea), Fikayo Tomori (Chelsea), Ademola Lookman (Charlton), Ovie Ejaria (Liverpool), Josh Onomah (Tottenham), etc... Etc... Haba!!! Players with UCL, Top-flight experience... Battle-hardened 19yr old youngsters... Korea paraded young professionals also led by Lee seung Woo of Barcelona (a lad who shattered messi's la masia records). Iran... Same thing. We got our boys OVER-EXPOSED to awesomeness and this is the result... Hope they learn shaa but a mix of some of Kelechi Nwakali's set still based at home and some of these 15-16yr olds would have been better... All the same shaa... Development continues... You can't expect magic from shoddy preparations, NFF shouldn't blame the boys abeg. How was the camping and how do you expect them to excel when they arrived the tournament 24 hrs to kick off ?
