My Berom neighbour is angry that Hausas who dont own the city of Jos are engaging the Igbos and even having the audacity to ask them to leave their 'area'. While they dont Nnamdi Kanu and his group and dont have any quarrel with Igbos resident in their State, they will not tolerate any iota of claim by any Hausa man to the ownership of Jos, Plateau State as that alone could lead to resumption of another crisis. Biafra can never be actualized through violence. There is a democratic way to do things and it's a marathon not a sprint. 2019 is not far. What stops them from electing officials with the same ideology to push for it if they really have the numbers as they claim? If thats too far, why not recall those there and re elect those with the same beliefs? Hate speech, attacking harmless people, creating BSS militia and calling for arms will just earn you the title of a terrorist. |
