The Nigeria Youth Awareness Group for Bukola 2011, has endorsed Governor Bukola Saraki of Kwara state for the 2011 presidential election.

The group described Governor Saraki as the most credible politician from the North, who provide quality leadership.

Speaking to newsmen after a meeting in Zaranda Hotel in Bauchi yesterday, the Chairman of the group, Mohammed Salisu, said they endorsed the youthful governor because of his sterling leadership qualities.
Salisu, who was flanked by the group’s Secretary, Comrade Adamu Isa, said: "Governor Bukola is a bridge builder between the North and the South. We want somebody like him who is young, and energetic.

"He has done a good job in Kwara state in eight years. He is a well-respected politician, grassroots mobiliser and detribalised Nigerian,” the group leader said.

He said that if the zoning agreement is upheld in the ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP), the best candidate for the 2011 presidency should be Saraki.

Salisu said: " Bukola has done a lot as a governor in eight years. He is more acceptable ahead of Atiku, IBB and even Jonathan.

“As for president Jonathan, we don't think he has performed creditably so far. So, we are calling on Bukola to the race. Nigerians believe in him and love him and will rally round him because he is a credible material
to lead this country,” he said.
