Unkindness: That's not what I asked. How does the university address the environmental challenges of the region? How does it empowers the region through education and innovation? Did rivers state and south south as a whole lack universities before now? Why have all the universities in rivers state and south south as a whole not addressed the environmental challenges and empowers the region through education and innovation? |

Omenlon: AM not complaining. Infact, Nigeria needs more universities. The problem is, the more universites government creates, the more difficult it is to fund them...that's the annoying bit. And then when it becomes necessary to increase fees, you guys will complain. Let's be honest. Me has been complaining about this since the GEJ . |

Ojuntana:Shut up your mouth if you don't have anything to say. That university kind been proposed is not currently in Nigeria. Just the way the maritime university was also approved in delta state. Why don't you ask how many airport aleeady when the FG sited one in Abia. 1 Like |

EmperorCaesar:His a fool. He is afraid that if Tinubu keep doing what we expected from Jonathan, Obi and Co will lose south south vote in 2027. With the refineries coming to full capacity, approved maritime university, coastal road, rehabilitation of east west road and now this university, Tinubu will definitely be voted for in south south more than before. 1 Like |

tnerro1: Who stopped you from creating jobs for others? Must you wait for others to create for you? The economy of every nation is driven by private people not the government. Govt job is to put in place good policies and create an enabling environment. Hope you have learned something this afternoon? 1 Like |

Alliswell248: River state already has 6 tertiary institutions, so of what importance is this new Univerisity, will it reduce poverty rate, will it clean up the pollution in the land, will it boost the economy of rivers state, will it generate serious employment. Still dont know, politicians do something without thinking it through and their ers endorse without asking questions |

So locating a university by APC government in a place don become a gift instead of a project sited after due consideration of factors including availability of students, sustainability relevance etc?

simpleseyi: 2:44pm On Feb 03 |
tnerro1: No let jealousy kee you. As you no get money to JAPA and your family are too poor to contribute money to you, keep your dirty mouth shut and continue in your poverty. Nigeria’s professionals are doing professional jobs here, but as you studied Political Science, Sociology, Philosophy, or Anthropology, then be ready to sweep streets of Lagos |

Ogoni is asking for cleanup since....thats what he should have focused on. Tinubu's failure cannot be covered with propaganda. He just sign a bill, the university has not been built. GEJ built 12 federal universities seunmsg: 1 Like |
