I disagree with a part of your post above.

'Seyi's father ('Bola Tinubu, the Nigerian President) doesn't have a heavy Yoruba accent. Listen to him again, the Nigerian President's "diction" when speaking English is quite impeccable. He stresses the words properly... Words such as "nation, election, communication," etc. That's how you'll easily get to know someone who has proper grounding in spoken English.

Back in the day, from the early 1990s when I first got to know Tinubu as a Senator right into the era when he was the Governor of Lagos State from 1999 to 2007, he has always had a standard accent. BUT with the aging process kicking in, that has affected his vocal cord leaving him with a "slight drawl" like it usually happens to older people above 65 years of age.
