When Governor Siminalayi Fubara visited the newly commissioned Government Girls Secondary School in Ahoada, he didn’t just stop at celebrating a milestone in education. What caught his attention and sparked swift action was the appalling condition of the Old Port Harcourt–Ahoada Road and the dangerously worn-out bridge leading to the school.

Disturbed by what he saw, Governor Fubara didn’t waste time. Right there on site, he approved the immediate reconstruction of the road and bridge.
