The last time we heard it ASSU strike, it was brutal and tinubu had no solution to it but to manipulate and use the courts to stifle them.
They are just tolerating his wicked government.

Tell me one of ASUU's demands that FG met?

FYI, ASUU has only been keeping it's planned strike on hold just to provide benefit of the doubt.

From the Union's last communication, strike is loading.

*Renewed Hope or Ruthless Hardship? A Scorecard of President Tinubu @ 2*

On May 29, 2023, Bola Ahmed Tinubu was sworn in as Nigeria’s 16th President inheriting a nation still reeling from a disputed election and grappling with deep-rooted structural and economic challenges. Despite succeeding an APC government he helped bring to power in 2015, he chose a counterintuitive campaign slogan: Renewed Hope, rather than a continuity agenda.

Two years later, there’s little sign of meaningful progress on the key issues that dominated the election campaign. In fact, when it comes to the economy and insecurity, one could argue the situation has actually deteriorated

1. *ECONOMY*: Reform or Ruin?

Tinubu’s most defining economic moves came within days of assuming office: the abrupt removal of petrol subsidies and the floating of the naira. These twin policies were hailed by international observers as necessary market corrections. But for the average Nigerian, they triggered a cost-of-living crisis of historic proportions.

Inflation soared, the naira plummeted, and purchasing power evaporated. While the government claims inflation is now easing and foreign reserves have rebounded

, the reality on the ground tells a different story. Food prices remain punishingly high, and the much-touted increase in state allocations post-subsidy removal has been largely neutralised by hyperinflation.

2. *SECURITY*: A Mixed Bag

Tinubu’s istration claims to have eliminated over 13,500 terrorists and made significant gains in the fight against insurgency. Yet, insecurity remains a daily reality for millions. Banditry, kidnapping, and communal violence continue to plague large swathes of the country (Benue, Plateau, Borno).

3. *INFRASTRUCTURE*: Misplaced Priorities?

Perhaps the most controversial infrastructure project under Tinubu is the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway—a 700km mega-road estimated to cost ₦15.6 trillion, amounting to 56% of the 2024 national budget. While the istration promotes it as a transformative initiative to boost connectivity and economic activity along Nigeria’s southern corridor, critics argue that beyond its staggering cost, the project reflects misplaced priorities. With countless major roads across the country in a terrible state of disrepair, many question whether such vast resources could have been better allocated to more urgent and widespread road projects.

4. *STATE GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS*: A Shrinking Space

The 2023 and subsequent off-cycle elections were marred by allegations of the famous IREV glitch, voter suppression, violence, and manipulation. The promise of free and fair elections remains unfulfilled. Many Nigerians feel disenfranchised, and trust in democratic institutions continues to erode as evidenced by the increasing voter apathy during state and local government elections.

*Conclusion*

At the halfway point of his presidency, Tinubu’s legacy remains up in the air. To the president’s ers—whose numbers appear to be growing by the day despite the economic hardship and rising insecurity—the istration is on the right track, and its reforms are expected to yield results soon. Whether history will judge him as a reformer or a reckless gambler depends on what the next two years bring.

To his opponents, he is istration is failing and they’re vowing to make Tinubu a One Time President (OTP).

For now, while the president continues to gain defectors from the political class, ordinary Nigerians continue to wait—some with hope, others with growing disillusionment about the rest of his term and the looming 2027 election.

They are just tolerating his wicked government.

The 'wicked' govt of Tinubu just gave 18 universities N110 Billion last month just to fund medical education, promising a much bigger grant for universities in general in the next few weeks.

Which ASUU is going on strike?

ASUU is beyond happy with this istration.

You people don't know what is going on in this country.

Dangotes refinery ensured this and lack of fuel scarcity will be in any following regime. We have Dangote not Tinubu to thank.

As for ASUU strike,/Tinubu stifled it not by meeting their demands but manipulating them using d courts. They r still grossly not satisfied.
P. S
I'm not answering this to change u for u r hardened but for d sake of others

ing APC Makes the Brain Stop Working’ and 4 More Daniel Bwala Anti-Tinubu Remarks

There are three things in the world that deserve no mercy: hypocrisy, fraud, and tyranny. – Frederick William Robertson

Daniel Bwala, a staunch critic of President Tinubu, his istration and the All Progressives Congress (APC), has been seen frolicking with the President in recent days, which has infuriated the public.

For his past statements against the APC, Bwala, who was a spokesperson for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential campaign council during the 2023 elections, has now drawn backlash.

He was an APC member until he defected to the PDP in 2022. He would later cite the ruling party’s Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket as the reason for his exit.

While announcing his decision on X on July 10, 2022, Bwala wrote: “Tonight I officially resigned my hip of @OfficialAPCNg on principles and conviction that I hold so dear. At this time of our national existence, our efforts and energy should gravitate towards uniting our people.”

There are now speculations that he may return to the APC. He held a meeting with President Tinubu on Wednesday “to show appreciation and for the bold decisions he is taking to deal with the crisis confronting [the] country”, and he revealed that he would Tinubu without apologies, even if it meant going back to the APC.

Amid ongoing controversies surrounding Bwala’s recent interactions with the President, FIJ revisits five times in the past when he criticised the APC-led istration.

‘EVEN IF YOU GIVE TINUBU 30 YEARS, NOTHING WILL WORK‘

On December 25, 2023, Bwala expressed scepticism about President Tinubu’s ability to deliver within his four-year term. He argued that waiting for significant changes under Tinubu’s istration might not be feasible.

Bwala said, “When people talk about being patient and waiting, you have to look at the time frame the public officer is expected to execute the work. The President has just been voted into a term of four years. He is eight months into the term, which constitutes 31.8 percent of the total time that he has. He has less than 70 percent time in government; when is that going to happen? When President Buhari took over in 2015, it was the same language, and we patiently followed and he finished the first term and finished the second term. When there is a fundamental problem with policy, time is irrelevant; 30 years, it will not work.”

Title: Please, My Family and I Are in Urgent Need of Food Assistance

Good day everyone,

Please forgive me for bringing this here, but I honestly don’t know where else to turn right now. Things have become extremely difficult for me and my family. We've been without proper food for days, and as a parent, it breaks my heart to see my loved ones suffer like this.

I'm not here to scam or beg unnecessarily. I’ve tried everything I can—reaching out to people around me, doing small jobs—but it’s just not enough anymore. If anyone here can assist us with food items, , or even point us in the direction of any help, I would be deeply grateful.

I understand that times are hard for many people, but even a little would mean the world to us right now.

Please, help if you can. You can reach me via DM and I can share more details or anything you may need.

Thank you for reading, and may help find anyone else who’s in need.

Why worry yourself about hunger and starvation when you can just follow Akpabio’s advice

Thank me later.

What has ASUU got to do with real metrics of governance?
We are talking cost of goods and services, food security, basic amenities, employment generation, security, access to business funding etc.
