Former Senate President and Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Adolphus Wabara, has described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s claims of having revived Nigeria’s economy as an insult to the millions of Nigerians currently enduring severe hardship.


Senator Wabara argued that if the President’s assertions were accurate, there would be no need to convince Nigerians—citizens themselves would be attesting to the istration’s achievements.

“The reality on the ground does not President Tinubu’s claims. If he had truly improved the economy, Nigerians would be the first to testify,” Wabara said.

He pointed to the soaring inflation, widespread hunger, and deepening poverty as evidence contradicting the President’s remarks.

“It’s ironic that Mr. President is talking about economic revival when the economy is clearly deteriorating under his watch. The indices say otherwise,” he added. “Poor and hungry Nigerians do not need a lecture on economic revival. The first sign of improvement will be reflected in market prices.”

Wabara urged the President to use the remaining two years of his tenure to focus on real economic reforms rather than making rhetorical statements. He called on Tinubu to review key economic policies, particularly those related to multiple taxation, which he said are stifling businesses and worsening living conditions.

The PDP BoT Chairman also highlighted the urgent need to address the country’s security crisis, stating that insecurity has significantly contributed to food shortages by displacing farmers from agrarian communities due to attacks by bandits and criminal herders.

He accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of mismanaging a once-thriving economy. “When the PDP was in power, Nigeria’s economy was among the top two in Africa. The APC has reversed those gains,” he said.

Despite the current challenges, Wabara expressed optimism that Nigeria’s economy would rebound once the PDP returns to power in 2027.

There have been many like him in the past under past governments who disappeared as soon as the government changed.

HONESTLY TINUBU IS THE MOST BRILLIANT & DANGEROUS POLITICIAN IN THE WORLD.
1. He knew how to generate more funds for the nation, more than any president in Nigeria.
(Fuel subsidy & recent tax increase) Would create more billions for Nigeria. Western countries only live on tax. Not to even mention rebate from fuel subsidy.
2. He pretended as sick and oldy ( bulaba, urinating, etc) for Northerners vote so they can think the case of Yaradua to goodluck will happen. And by that Shettima will hold power.
3. Creating more friends and having moles in mostly all party. (Don't leave ur party, just be my eyes to feed me ur plans). Like someone says to pocket Nigeria.

You see why most top politicians are decamping, they are making billions and enough to go round.
He is brilliant to do the needful for the betterment of Nigerian, if he knew how to play those parole. But wonder why he chooses those Pharaoh path to Israel .
Because the subsidy and tax rebate is enough to ease the hardship to some extent.

The dollar subsidy and fuel subsidy scams began under PDP.

There was never a time the economy thrived under PDP. Even during global economic meltdown where Nigeria was absorbed from the shocks, not by anything PDP did, PDP mismanaged the windfall. It was during PDP that $16billion was invested in power sector reforms where Atiku himself itted that some contractors were paid 100% upfront and they disappeared without doing any work. It was during PDP that Nigeria was committed to the P&ID fraud. It was under PDP that NITEL was destroyed completely. PDP also completely ended Nigerian Airways.

It was under PDP refineries collapsed completely.

It was under PDP insecurity became a thriving business. The military handed a safe Nigeria devoid of insecurity. Insecurity is a legacy of PDP.

Nigeria boomed during PDP in of oil earnings. But PDP mismanaged the windfall and plunged the country into economic quagmire. The so-called good economy was artificial as they used our oil earnings to subsidize the rich. It was during PDP that Nigeria became dollarized. At that time, PDP said they were defending the naira. Defending the naira by subsidizing the dollars?

That is economic voodoo only PDP could sanction.

PDP needs to apologize and not lie to us that they are a better alternative.

Which economic revival? They were sharing money calling it economic revival. You think those people ing APC are ing on nothing. Billions have gone with it. That's what Tinubu came to do and he is doing it well.
