If they are serious with research centers.. they should make a law that all profs above 60 that still want to work should be at the research center ND not varsities... Govt shld fund this centers with good facilities ND dish out good wages.. with car entitlements.... That will spur our development into science ND tech |

It's good two years.. Dr. Bosun should stop telling us "will do" "will benefit" We want to see results... he's been disappointing!!!! |

Good initiative. It's one thing for the FG to provide access to high fibre internet in the university hostels. It's another thing for these boys to use enhance their digital skills and academic research, and not use it for internet fraud, pornography and sports betting. |

nlfpmod: By the time Tinubu’s 2 come to an end in 2031, the face of Nigeria would have been changed for the best irrevocably. May God give President Tinubu, long life, good strength/energy and continued wisdom and the fear of God to do the best for the people at all times. May God continue to publicly disgrace, totally put to shame, disable, frustrate and scatter all the devices of those who gang up against him. May 2027 be the year when God uses Tinubu to permanently retire all those other politicians who have been troubling Nigeria. |

Discoveries brings solutions and the solutions are the jobs. Meanwhile, the students of this day are more tech savvy than we the 9 to 5pm gang. See what Silas Adeyemi is doing, even your kids. Please leave sentiment, it's effort in the right direction. MMempire: 1 Like 1 Share |

This isn't news to thank FG for. Its a necessity and responsibility of the government and the school its not innovation or intervention. Making noise over minor achievements is petty to the eyes of a proper government.

It's a necessity. When I was in school, I barely had access to 48 hours of electricity (let alone 24). I couldn't stay for days (sometimes weeks) without data (na who don chop dey sub). If I had those amenities, I would have spent most of my free time learning a digital skill earlier (not years after graduating). |

nlfpmod: F.G are confused , they have signed huge amount for solar power supply in Aso Villa, because they can't pay electric bills, and they are deceiving they mumu followers , |
pseudonomer: 12:40pm On May 30 |
MMempire: No. Instead the FG should create enabling environments for universities graduates to innovate and create jobs. |
Etlmbuk: 1:07pm On May 30 |
Laudable initiative I must say. Besides university of Abuja who are the other beneficiaries. I pray the initiative be sustained.

israelmao: Your guess is as good as mine...it's publicity...beyond this ceremony it's same old story..the acting vc already said the solar installation is backup....the minister of education says the solar provides 24hrs electricity.... The solar in one of the universities has never worked for more than 20mins before dropping... ![]() Yes you heard me... ![]() Who pays galaxy backbone beyond the few months to one year that secretary tijani payed before...the university? And they will abandon the link after the period because of pausity of funds... |

[Aquote author=MMempire post=135562196]Provide jobs for graduates of those universities as well.[/quote] Government don't provide jobs for citizens but they create enabling environment for citizens to thrive and create jobs for others. |

Do something to lecturers salary pls ..
|
sreamsense: 4:31pm On May 30 |
MMempire:Yes, government is improving, but it is not the duty of government to provide you job. Now, better tell the graduating students you know not to use 24hrs light and internet availability on campuses to be watching video series, playing games, all round entertainment ( when you are not planning to settle with a career in it) , watching excessive football at the expense of enriching themselves with future saving skills that may save them from future poverty and offer them lifetime job. Waiting for government to provide you jobs in this era is a call for future hopelessness and frustration 1 Like |
