Sound Aqeedah, briefly, refers to having correct and pure beliefs about Allah, His attributes, His names, His angels, His books, His messengers, the Last Day, and divine decree (Qadar). It means believing in these fundamental aspects of Islam as they are presented in the Quran and Sunnah (teachings and practices of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)) without any innovations or deviations. It is the foundation of a Muslim's faith and actions.

Titbits of Sound Aqeedah
1. Allah's Omnipresence: Allah is not contained by space or location. He is transcendent (Allah is above His creation). His knowledge, however, encomes everything, everywhere, at all times. (Quran: 6:103, 65:12). This is different from physical presence.

2. Angels: Angels are created beings who are wholly obedient to Allah. They do not eat, drink, or disobey Allah. (Quran: 21:20, 16:49)

3. Death and Reincarnation: Death is final. A human cannot reincarnate. Jinns can sometimes mimic human appearances, but they are separate beings. Upon death, the soul begins its journey in the afterlife. (Quran: 2:154, 3:185)

4. Prophets and Messengers: All prophets were Muslims (submitting to Allah). Adam (peace be upon him) was the first prophet, and Noah (peace be upon him) was the first messenger sent to warn a disbelieving people. A messenger is a prophet who delivers a clear message; not all prophets were messengers. (Quran: 2:136, 10:72)

5. Tawhid (Oneness of Allah): The core message of all prophets and messengers was the absolute oneness and sovereignty of Allah. (Quran: 2:163, 4:171)

6. Qadar (Divine Decree): Allah's decree encomes both good and bad, as He wills it. (Quran: 4:78, 18:29). This includes both ease and hardship, blessing and trial.

7. Jesus (Isa) in Islam: Jesus (peace be upon him) was raised to heaven alive and did not die on the cross. He will return before the Day of Judgment to defeat the Antichrist (Dajjal). His return will be in accordance with Islamic teachings.

8. Allah's Sovereignty: There is no power or strength except that which comes from Allah. No human, jinn, or any other being can change anything except as Allah wills. (Quran: 18:29, 3:189)

9. Death's Inevitability: Every soul will taste death at its appointed time. No one can escape death or hasten it. Death can occur at any stage of life. (Quran: 3:145, 62:08)

10. The Ultimate Destination: The final destination for all humanity is either Paradise (Jannah) or Hellfire (Jahannam).
Those destined for Paradise: Some believers will enter Paradise directly, without any ing. Others may undergo a period of ability or experience trials and tribulations before entering.

Those in A'raf: A'raf is a barrier between Paradise and Hell. Some individuals, whose good and bad deeds are nearly equal, may reside in A'raf for a period before ultimately entering Paradise.

Those entering Hell: Some individuals will first enter Hell to be punished for their sins. After serving their time, they may be itted to Paradise based on Allah's mercy.

Eternal Paradise: Those who enter Paradise will remain there forever. The blessings and rewards of Paradise are beyond human comprehension. The least rewarded in Paradise will have all their desires fulfilled and more. (Quran 3:107, 9:72, 18:107, 23:102-104)

May Allah make us among the inhabitants of Paradise.

May Allah grant us all understanding and strengthen our faith.
