Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, has received dozens of defectors from the Kwankwasiyya Movement into the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing their defection as a divine step towards a better political future.

Speaking during a brief reception in Kano, Senator Barau commended the new , saying their decision to the APC was timely and beneficial.

“Whenever God intends to improve your life, He directs you to the right path. I believe He has brought you into the APC to make life better for you,” he said.

Barau contrasted the APC with the Kwankwasiyya movement, accusing the latter of fostering confusion and poverty. “While the APC is building, the party you left is demolishing,” he said.

He further claimed that many people had suffered losses, including loss of lives, wealth and mental health, due to their involvement with the Kwankwasiyya group.

Describing the movement as “kwan-kwa-tsiya,” meaning “generating poverty,” Barau urged the new to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and contribute to consolidating APC’s gains in Kano and beyond.

The reception was attended by APC stakeholders, local leaders, and the defectors, who pledged loyalty to the ruling party.

They will say it was rigged. Imagine people just sleeping, condemning and insulting everybody for 4years while the ruling party has defectors aligning every week. Then election results will come out and when they want to resort to violence and tantrums, we say go to court. Then they foam in fits.

Good or not, APC is still the only stable, viable and reputable political option for political migrants for now until the coalition takes shape IF it's ever able to stand.

apc knows they are weak and have a poor performance record so they are building alliance...

The opposition pdp and Obidents are feeling like don jazzy and ignoring each other, they are not interested in forming alliance with like minds and shifting grounds if necessary.

Governance is not about building bridges and flyover just as you’re used to. The millennial schools in Lagos were built by Tinubu, the entire island was reshaped by Tinubu when Marwa garden estates used to be the best estate in Lagos. Tinubu made Lagos more conducive for business for your brothers.
