True righteousness comes when we give from what we love most, not just from what is convenient. Allah says:
📖 "You will not attain righteousness until you spend from what you love." (Quran 3:92)

The Virtue of Giving Generously:

1️⃣ Give from the Best of Your Wealth – Allah commands believers to give quality charity, not leftovers or items they wouldn't accept themselves.
📖 “Do not aim toward the defective therefrom, spending [from that], while you would not take it [yourself] except with closed eyes.” (Quran 2:267)

2️⃣ The Example of Abu Talhah (RA) – He owned Bayruha, a beloved garden facing the Prophet’s ﷺ mosque. Upon hearing the verse, he immediately donated it for Allah’s sake.

3️⃣ Charity to Relatives is Doubly Rewarded – The Prophet ﷺ said:
"Charity given to the poor is charity, and charity given to a poor relative is both charity and maintaining ties."

4️⃣ Giving to Allah is an Investment – Abu Dahdah (RA) once asked:
"O Messenger of Allah, does Allah want a loan from us?"
When the Prophet ﷺ confirmed, he donated his entire garden with 600 palm trees!

5️⃣ Ibn Umar's Practice (RA) – Whenever he loved something from his wealth and his soul was attached to it, he would give it in charity based on Allah’s words:
📖 "You will not attain righteousness until you spend from what you love."

6️⃣ Don’t Delay Charity – The Prophet ﷺ rushed to distribute some gold after prayer, saying:
"I disliked that it should stay with us through the night, so I ordered it to be distributed."

📌 Key Lessons:
✅ Give from what you love, not what is leftover.
✅ needy family first.
✅ Spend in charity before it's too late.

🤲 O Allah, make us among those who give generously, seeking Your pleasure. Accept our charity and grant us righteousness. Aameen!

Ramadaan is a time for generosity, kindness, and charity. The Prophet ﷺ was the most generous of people, and his generosity increased even more in Ramadaan.

✨ The Virtues of Generosity in Ramadan:
1️⃣ The Prophet’s Generosity in Ramadan
Ibn Abbas (RA) said:
"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was the most generous of people, and he was even more generous in Ramadaan when Jibreel met him to review the Quran."

2️⃣ Feeding a Fasting Person Earns Great Reward
"Whoever feeds a fasting person will have a reward like his, without decreasing the fasting person’s reward in any way." (Hadith)

3️⃣ Spending in Charity Brings Blessings
The Prophet ﷺ said:
"Every day, two angels descend. One says, 'O Allah! Compensate those who spend (in charity),' and the other says, 'O Allah! Destroy those who withhold (charity).'"

4️⃣ Charity is a Sign of True Faith
"Charity is proof." (Hadith)
Imam Nawawi explained that charity proves one’s faith, as only those who believe in its reward will give sincerely.

📌 How to Practice Generosity in Ramadaan:
✅ Give charity regularly, even in small amounts.
✅ Pay your Zakat if due and help those in need.
✅ Feed others sincerely for Allah’s sake.
✅ Avoid reminders or harm after giving, as Allah warns:
"O you who have believed, do not invalidate your charities with reminders [of generosity] or injury." (Quran 2:264)

📖 Uthman ibn Affan (RA) bought the Well of Rumah and dedicated it for Muslims. This act of generosity continues to earn him rewards even today!

🤲 O Allah, guide us to generosity, accept our charity, and shade us with our good deeds on the Day of Judgment. Ameen!

Allah, in His mercy and wisdom, has permitted certain individuals to break their fast in Ramadan due to valid excuses. These exceptions are based on Quranic verses and the Sunnah.

📌 Who is Excused from Fasting?
1️⃣ The Ill – If fasting worsens health, delays recovery, or causes extreme hardship, it is permitted to break the fast. If fasting risks death, breaking the fast becomes obligatory.
📖 “So whoever among you is ill or on a journey – then an equal number of days are to be made up.” (Quran 2:184)

2️⃣ The Traveler – Travelers can delay fasting and make up the missed days later.
📌 If fasting causes extreme hardship, it becomes forbidden to fast.
📌 If it causes some hardship, breaking the fast is recommended.
📌 If fasting and not fasting are equally easy, one may choose the easier option.

3️⃣ The Elderly – Those who cannot bear fasting may feed a poor person for each missed day.
📖 Ibn Abbas interpreted the verse allowing this, and Anas ibn Malik followed this practice in old age.

4️⃣ Pregnant & Nursing Women – They may break their fast if needed, based on the hadith that exempts them from fasting.

5️⃣ Menstruating & Postpartum Women – They must break their fast and make it up later.

6️⃣ Those Saving a Life – If fasting prevents someone from saving a life (e.g., rescuing from drowning/fire), breaking the fast is obligatory.

📌 Work is NOT a valid excuse for breaking the fast unless one is ill.

🤲 May Allah grant us understanding, strengthen our faith, and reward those who strive in His path. Ameen!

Ramadan and the Quran are deeply connected—it was in this blessed month that the Quran was revealed, making it a time of recitation, reflection, and spiritual renewal.

📖 The Quran & Ramadan:
1️⃣ The Quran was revealed on the Night of Decree (Laylatul Qadr).
"Indeed, We sent it down during the Night of Decree. And what will make you know what the Night of Decree is? The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months." (Quran 97:1-3)

2️⃣ The Prophet ﷺ recited and reviewed the Quran with Jibreel (Gabriel) every Ramadan.
In the year of his ing, he reviewed it twice, emphasizing its importance.

3️⃣ Early scholars increased Quran recitation in Ramadan.
Uthman ibn Affan completed the Quran daily.
Imam Shafi’i completed it twice a day (60 times in Ramadan).
Imam Malik paused his lessons to focus entirely on Quran recitation.

✨ The Rewards of Quran Recitation:
📌 Every letter recited earns ten rewards.
"Whoever reads a letter from the Book of Allah will have a good deed written for him, and a good deed is multiplied by ten. I do not say that Alif Lam Meem is a letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter, and Meem is a letter." (Hadith)

📌 Completing the Quran in Ramadan brings immense blessings.
"The month of Ramadan [is that] in which was revealed the Quran, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion." (Quran 2:185)

📌 How to Maximize Quran Recitation in Ramadan:
✅ Set a daily recitation goal (e.g., one Juz’ per day to complete it).
✅ Listen to Tafsir (explanations) to deepen understanding.
✅ Recite at night, following the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ.

🤲 O Allah, make us among those who love the Quran, recite it often, and live by its guidance. Ameen!

Ramadan brings many questions about fasting, prayer, and daily practices. Here are some common FAQs with their answers:

1️⃣ Do I need to make an intention for fasting every night?
Yes, for obligatory fasts, the intention should be made before Fajr. However, a general intention at the start of Ramadan is sufficient unless a fast is broken.

2️⃣ Can I taste food while fasting?
Yes, but only if necessary, and it should be spit out without swallowing.

3️⃣ Does swallowing phlegm break the fast?
No, unless it reaches the mouth and is swallowed intentionally.

4️⃣ Can I eat or drink while hearing the Fajr Adhan?
Yes, if the food or drink is already in hand, as per the hadith of the Prophet ﷺ.

5️⃣ When should I break my fast?
At sunset, not necessarily at the Adhan, as long as the sun has fully set.

6️⃣ What if water enters my throat unintentionally during rinsing?
It does not break the fast, as it was not intentional.

7️⃣ Can I use toothpaste while fasting?
Yes, but ensure nothing is swallowed.

8️⃣ Is fasting valid if I wake up in a state of major impurity?
Yes, fasting remains valid. Ghusl should be done to pray Fajr.

9️⃣ Can women take pills to delay menstruation for fasting?
Yes, if deemed safe by a medical professional.

🔟 Does silent Quran recitation (without moving the tongue) count?
No, true recitation requires moving the tongue.

1️⃣1️⃣ How should supplication (Dua) be made?
With humility, not excessive beautification of the voice.

1️⃣2️⃣ Can another congregation pray while Tarawih is ongoing?
No, separate congregations during Tarawih should be avoided.

1️⃣3️⃣ What does “praying with the Imam until he finishes” mean?
It means staying for the entire Tarawih and Witr, earning the reward of praying all night.

🤲 May Allah bless us in the remaining days of Ramadan and guide us to what pleases Him. Aameen!

Fasting in Ramadan was prescribed in stages, with gradual legislation to ease believers into this significant act of worship. Understanding the Quranic verses on fasting helps us appreciate its depth and wisdom. Here are the key insights from the verses of fasting:

📖 The Gradual Obligation of Fasting:
1️⃣ First Stage: Fasting on Ashura was originally obligatory, but later made voluntary.

2️⃣ Second Stage: Fasting in Ramadan became obligatory, but with an option to either fast or feed a poor person per missed day. Fasting was encouraged as better.

3️⃣ Final Stage: Fasting became mandatory for all, and the choice to feed instead of fasting was removed.
"So whoever sights the new moon of the month, let him fast it." (Quran 2:185)

✨ Key Interpretations from the Verses:
📌 Fasting is an ancient act of worship, prescribed to all past nations, making it easier for believers to accept.

📌 “A limited number of days” – Ramadan fasting is made easier by being only one month, not the entire year.

📌 Allowance for the sick & travelers – If one is ill or traveling, fasting can be postponed and made up later.
"Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship." (Quran 2:185)

📌 Fasting is deeply connected to supplication (Dua) –
"When My servants ask you concerning Me, indeed I am near. I respond to the supplication of the caller when he calls upon Me." (Quran 2:186)
Ramadan is the best time for making Dua!

📌 Marriage intimacy was initially restricted but later permitted at night.
"It has been made permissible for you the night preceding fasting to go to your wives. They are clothing for you, and you are clothing for them." (Quran 2:187)

📌 Qiyam (Night Prayers) and Itikaf (Mosque Retreat) – Those in mosque seclusion must avoid intimacy.

📌 The Boundaries of Allah –
"These are the limits set by Allah, so do not approach them." (Quran 2:187)
Fasting teaches self-discipline, helping us stay within Allah’s prescribed limits.

🤲 A Beautiful Reminder:
Allah legislated fasting with wisdom and ease. We are blessed with the opportunity to worship, purify our souls, and seek forgiveness through fasting.

As medical advancements bring new treatments, it is important to understand which modern actions may break the fast. Scholars have studied these cases based on Islamic principles. Here are 12 modern factors that may or may not invalidate fasting:

🚫 Actions That Invalidate Fasting:
1️⃣ Dialysis (Hemodialysis & Peritoneal Dialysis) – Breaks the fast due to the use of fluids and nutrients. Must be made up later or compensated by feeding the needy.

2️⃣ Inhaling Smoke – Whether from cigarettes, hookah, or vaping, smoke reaches the stomach and invalidates fasting.

3️⃣ Blood Donation – Similar to cupping, it weakens the body and breaks the fast. Donate at night unless medically necessary.

4️⃣ Nasal Drops – If the liquid reaches the stomach, it breaks the fast. Otherwise, it remains valid.

✅ Actions That Do NOT Invalidate Fasting:
5️⃣ Eye Drops – Even if the taste is felt in the throat, it does not break the fast.

6️⃣ Sublingual Tablets – Used for heart patients, they are absorbed under the tongue and do not count as food or drink.

7️⃣ Ointments & Creams – Do not break the fast as they do not enter the digestive system.

8️⃣ Oxygen Use – Pure oxygen does not invalidate fasting as it assists breathing without reaching the stomach.

9️⃣ Asthma Sprays – Permitted as the medicine is absorbed through the lungs, not the stomach.

🔟 Gastroscopy – Allowed unless lubricants or water enter the stomach.

1️⃣1️⃣ Anesthesia – Local anesthesia does not break the fast. General anesthesia only invalidates fasting if it lasts the entire day.

1️⃣2️⃣ Dental Procedures – Tooth extractions and fillings are allowed, provided minimal blood is swallowed.

🔎 Key Takeaway:
📌 Modern medical treatments must be evaluated based on Islamic principles. When unsure, consult religious scholars to ensure adherence to the spirit and letter of Islamic law.

🤲 May Allah guide us in fasting with sincerity and grant us good health. Ameen!

Fasting is not just about abstaining from food and drink—it is a spiritual transformation that deepens our consciousness of Allah and refines our character. Here are key insights into the true essence of fasting:

1️⃣ Fasting is a Path to Piety – Allah commands:
"Fasting is prescribed for you—as it was for those before you—so that you may attain a consciousness of Allah." (Quran 2:183)
It is meant to purify the soul, discipline desires, and elevate our faith.

2️⃣ A True Fast Transforms You – If Ramadan makes you more obedient and spiritually aware, then your fast is fulfilling its divine purpose. Otherwise, self-reflection is needed.

3️⃣ Beyond Hunger: Fasting of the Tongue & Heart – The Prophet ﷺ warned:
"Whoever does not forsake false speech and action, Allah has no need of their abstinence from food and drink." (Hadith)
True fasting means guarding the tongue, eyes, and heart from sins.

4️⃣ Sins Diminish the Reward of Fasting – Engaging in gossip, lying, and argumentation while fasting weakens its impact. Our pious predecessors would avoid idle talk and seclude themselves for worship.

5️⃣ The Power of Self-Control – If provoked, the Prophet ﷺ advised:
"If one should abuse you or strive against you, say, 'I am fasting.'"
Fasting teaches patience, helping us remain composed in difficult moments.

🤲 May Allah grant us the ability to fast in the truest sense—purifying our hearts, controlling our tongues, and elevating our faith. Ameen!

Fasting is not just an act of worship—it is a shield, a means of purification, and a path to immense rewards. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ described many virtues of fasting, making it one of the most honored deeds in Islam. Here are some of its key virtues:

1️⃣ Fasting is an Obligation for All Nations – Allah commanded it for previous nations just as He did for us:
"O you who have believed, fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become righteous." (Quran 2:183)

2️⃣ Fasting is for Allah Alone – Unlike other deeds, fasting is uniquely for Allah, and He Himself will reward it:
"Every deed of the son of Adam is for him, except fasting. It is for Me, and I shall reward it." (Hadith, Sahih Bukhari & Muslim)

3️⃣ Fasting Strengthens Sincerity & Devotion – A fasting person abstains from desires only for Allah, strengthening their faith and sincerity.

4️⃣ Fasting Cultivates Patience – It teaches self-discipline, endurance, and obedience to Allah. Allah promises:
"Only those who are patient shall receive their rewards in full, without reckoning." (Quran 39:10)

5️⃣ The Breath of a Fasting Person is Beloved to Allah – Even though it may seem unpleasant to humans, it is more fragrant than musk to Allah, as it stems from worship.

6️⃣ Fasting Expiates Sins – The Prophet ﷺ said:
"Whoever fasts Ramadan with faith and seeking Allah’s reward, his previous sins will be forgiven."

7️⃣ A Special Gate in Paradise for the Fasting: Al-Rayyan 🏝️ – On the Day of Judgment, those who fasted will enter Paradise through Al-Rayyan, a gate reserved only for them.

8️⃣ Fasting is a Shield from Hellfire 🔥 – The Prophet ﷺ said:
"Fasting serves as a shield with which a servant may protect himself from the Hellfire."

9️⃣ A Fasting Person Experiences Two Joys – The joy of breaking the fast and the greater joy when meeting Allah to receive the ultimate reward.

🤲 May Allah grant us the ability to fast sincerely for His sake and accept our fasting and prayers. Ameen!
