Hello ismdex,

Most graduate schools in the US requirement is GRE. If you don't wanna write the exam, then, you have to look elsewhere like Canada etc. Also, make google your best friend and familiarize yourself with the school website and send email to the graduate secretary of any school of your choice. S/He will be the best to provide you an answer to most of your question(s) not people on this thread. The people here can only guide you.

You don't need to write another SSCE, all you need to do is to check the requirements if graduate(s) with B.Sc in Mathematics can do MSc Finance.

Google is your friend bro. Check out schools in Canada if you don't wanna write GRE n TOEFL/IELTS. Check out University of Toronto, University of Manitoba, University of Saskatchewan, Memorial University of Newfoundland etc.

MSc finance and MBA are hot cake in Unilag. I didn't say you can't be itted ooo. Check the requirements and study hard. I mean really hard. Why not consider MSc actuarial science. With B.Sc in Mathematics and MSc Actuarial, you will be fine.

I was able to secure a supervisor but it wasn't easy getting one.

I don't think Unilag offer Msc Petroleum Engineering. I am sure of Msc chemical engineering.

I might be wrong but I have collected at least two certificates from UNILAG and I collected them 6 months post convocation.
It's a norm and also an announcement during convocation that certificates are ready but if you have evidences of people collecting certificate a month after convocation please present it. The only thing you will get after completing your clearance is statement of result.
If there is a typographical error in your name you will need to wait for at least 6 months to get a new certificate.

You might be correct tho!. I collected my certificate 3days after convocation.

Just go to cash office...Explain to them...I hope you the date you paid for the gown and the bank you deposited the money... If yes, I guess you don't have any problem getting your certificate.

Moreover, you shouldn't have gotten your certificate immediately you came back from NYSC.

During your convocation, did you pay for gown into school or you went to rent a gown?. If you pay into the school , then you don't have to pay to get your certificate. All you need to do is to provide the teller and take it to cash office which they will give you your receipt. Is this receipt and your clearance form you will use to get your certificate.

If No, you will need to pay 5K into the school and get a clearance form. After the payment, go to cash office for your receipt. If you are not clear with this, go to senate and find out what you need to do to get your certificate.
