Samunique:1. Says someone whose god sacrificed his son for him. 2. Check your bible, you'll see how many men of God offered sacrifice to God. Or are those people not men of God? 3. The only wrong sacrifice is the one offered to a mortal like you. Like you offer your tithes to God of men in your places of worship. |

I no like Tinubu but this is commendable. The next step is to ensure the integrity of the persecution process. It shouldn't be a tool for political or personal victimisation. Anyone caught deliberately pointing wrong fingers of accusations must be dealt with. FG only needs a few scapegoats from each of the geopolitical zones and everybody will FEM! In my opinion, Nigeria isn't hard to govern. It's just that we have spineless people in government. Unfortunately, they're only spineless when it comes to enforcing laws for the public. But when it comes to witch-hunting their political adversaries, they have spines of vibranium. 4 Likes |

Afonja007:Emir is an Islamic title not a tribal title. So as I said, keep your tribalism for the politics section. |

Sheuns:As you said, those calendars are predictions. So they can be correct or incorrect. And as I said earlier, there are various versions of these calculations. And they contradict themselves. Please spend time to read and study before arguing. These predictions are not 2+2 =4 type of science. Most importantly, the Qur'an says "Whoever amongst you sights the moon". So the beginning of an Islamic month is based on sighting not calculations. You act like the 6th century was some form of barbaric era. It shows you know next to nothing about history. These statistical estimates for predicting the moon have been around since that 6th century. Yet, Allah and His messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم commanded the believers to base their months on sighting. Are you wiser or Allah?! |

Sheuns:Islam has its methodology of declaring the beginning and end of a month. Why do you people act like those automated calendars are some sorth of strict science or even a divine revelation? Any sensible person who knows basic statistics knows those calendars are based on statistical estimations. So we should leave what we see with our korokoro eyes for some estimates? Added to that, there are many estimates and they vary in their results. 1 Like |

Afonja007:1. There are appropriate channels for him to report it. 2. It's very unlikely that the crescent will be sighted in the south but go unsighted in the north. A simple look at satellite imagery will help you understand this. And I say this as a remote sensing expert. 3. Islam is a religion of orderliness and gives strong importance to protocols. 4. Please reserve your tribalism for the politics section. 7 Likes |

RillJ:While kindness and humanity are part of what takes one to paradise or at least increase one's rank in paradise, the fundamental requirement for ission to paradise is belief in your one and only Creator, Provider and Sustainer. Just as He created you, provides for you and directs your affairs without the help of any partner, you must also give him all your worship and service without sharing them with anyone. Else, forget paradise. No amount of kindness or humanity will save you from such grievous injustice. 2 Likes |

Reports like this should have a research paper published before them. You can't just post numbers and expect to accept them hook line and sinker. That said, I'm not saying the numbers are false. In fact, based on my daily experience as a Nigerian living in Nigeria I would say they're correct. But my daily experience isn't a substitute for science. 2 Likes |

Pickieox: 1. I wouldn't complain because there are my mates who scored good grades and gained ission despite the error. 2. Even if I would complain, I won't say it's because I'm from a certain tribe. That's too low. 3. Human errors are parts of life. Yes, the loss could be massive. It could even claim lives directly. But in the end it's part of life so far it's an error. Wise people acknowledge their errors, learn from the errors and continue on their path to progress. They don't waste time wailing. |
