Factcheck0001:
show one tweet praising obi on d internet during his governance?

You should first show me tweets praising Tinubu while he was governor of Lagos. Twitter became popular in Nigeria gradually between 2010 and 2020 so let’s not even go there.

I’ll show you more than a tweet though. This one is a published article by an Anambra indigene who lived most of her life in Lagos but was wowed when she went back to Anambra to witness an event by Anambra elders council:

https://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/03/peter-obi-uncommon-governor/

There’s more. Evidence choke! grin

But I have one question for you. If Tinubu did a good job in Lagos, tell me why he lost the state in 2023 while Sanwo Olu won the same state with over 65% of the votes. Why?

Factcheck0001:
but ibos themselves called Peter obi a failure as governor, then y did he suddenly become a Messiah?

Do you mean the 5 or 6 threads on nairaland by a group of the same people till date criticizing him, most of who have never been to Anambra? When there are over 95% of people from Anambra who approve of him?

Tinubu knows how save money.

You have to respect someone who saved all his salary as governor, and it was so much it could only be contained in a bullion van. 🤡

Someone who worked with Deloitte as a consultant an intern and he saved so much from his small salary that it ran into millions and the US government became envious and forced him to forfeit $450,000 of his hard earned money 🤡

No one cares about the 5% from the south east. They are just a dot in a circle.

Nigerians from the south west, south south and northern Nigeria will vote for him

Don't sha cry when the people who voted for Tinubu in 2027 are getting rewarded

Are the people who voted for him in 2023 getting rewarded now? Has he bettered their lives?

The people that will vote him are people from all regions including the SE who are directly benefiting from him, or directly benefiting from someone who is benefiting directly from him (because politics is about interest) and people who are very loyal to their tribe and want their kinsman to be there.

But that’s like 25% of Nigerians. The rest will choose a different path

All the best to you

We don't drag people to Apc, they come willingly and also don't see those who have contrary opinion like a threat or enemies.

People are literally being cursed and threatened for not ing the drug baron. Some of them were even injured and prevented from voting by the people who “don’t see those who have contrary opinion like threat or enemies”

grin grin grin

They want to develop Oke ado as they have finished developing their region

The last time I went to my village, I was surprised to see the Igbo's in their numbers, we used to have Hausa/Fulani( They have their territory, then mostly NC people Benue precisely can't even encountering any Igbo's back then

Charity don't mean anything

I think it’s good. When you mingle more with Igbos, you’ll get used to them, hate and envy will reduce, mindset will be more civilized.

People will sell even more lands this Tinubulation period to survive. If you don’t want them to sell, start sending monthly 300k hardship allowance to each and everyone

He’ll have the votes of all the politicians and his 55% loyalists from a certain region what are bent on destroying the country as long as their kinsman is ruling.

The “loyalists” who praised Buhari for 8 years as the best, but condemned him as the worst immediately after he left office. The ones who project the bad things they do others. The ones who infiltrated JAMB and other institutions with sinister ethnic agenda.

The rest 75% of votes belong to Nigerians

My recommendation to Peter Obi, please don't ask for clearance again! Though you're a public figure, it's not necessary. You're a Nigerian citizen just like any other Nigerian citizen. Do what you have to do, let the treacherous ones cry

The only way to defeat Peter Obi at the polls is to work for the people. But we have greedy and fraudulent people in power who steal from the people and can’t stand competition. So insecure that they weren’t satisfied with corrupt politics, they also brought tribal agenda to institutions like JAMB

As narrated by Maazi Ezeoke @MaaziEzeoke on Twitter.

Every time His Excellency Mr. @PeterObi speaks about how the system tries to silence him, I listen. But I never imagined I would witness it firsthand—until Saturday, 31st May 2025. Let me walk you through what happened.👇🏽 🧵 1/

2/ I accompanied Mr. Obi to London Business School, where he engaged in a Fireside Chat hosted by the Africa Business Club. The theme?
“From Promise to Prosperity: Charting Africa’s Development with Political Will and Vision.”
A powerful and inspiring session with Q & A.

3/ After the event, we boarded an Uber to Brentford Community Stadium, where Nigeria faced Jamaica in the Unity Cup Final. At the entrance, we ran into D’Banj, who came to perform at the event. We slipped in and sat near the Nigerian team.

4/ The match ended 2-2 and went to penalties. As it got intense, the crowd—mostly young Nigerians—started chanting: “Obi! Obi! Obi! Obi!”
Some players began noticing him too.

5/ To avoid becoming a distraction, Mr. Obi quietly stepped back, cheering the team from a distance during the penalty shootout. But after Nigeria won, some officials invited him to their post-match photo session.

6/ True to form, he politely asked them to get clearance from the officials. Suddenly, everything changed.
One of the officials, after a phone call, returned with a hardened face and shouted: "He is not allowed to take pictures with the team!"

7/ Just moments earlier, the same officials were been visibly excited about Mr. Obi’s presence. The transformation was disturbing. It was clear someone had given a directive. The atmosphere shifted instantly.

8/ One player, still determined, tried to greet him after the photos. But from the pitch, a voice thundered:
"You have been told not to greet him!" Security physically blocked the player from reaching Mr. Obi.

9/ The player, visibly upset, walked off the pitch straight to the dressing room. It was shocking to witness. Even efforts to see the team even in the dressing room was met with same instructions from above. Unbelievable!

10/ Meanwhile, both Nigerian and Jamaican fans continued swarming Mr. Obi for photos. They didn’t care about politics—only the man they respect.

11/ I left the stadium thinking:

Even in football, a sport meant to unite us, politics has been weaponised.
That moment deepened my resolve: In 2027, we must build a country where no one is silenced based on party affiliation. A nation where everyone is equal. ✊🏽🇳🇬

Are you talking about the leadership in North?

When some bandits have a say than reasonable number of the Northern leaders hence occupying territories

Gumi is one of the referred revered leader leaders from the North yet he was deported from Saudi Arabia due to link with bandits. Lots of Gumi are referred revered as leaders in the North

I agree with you. Just to add to what you wrote, we also have tribal bigots in institutions like JAMB that need to be investigated and imprisoned if found guilty. Not only are we dealing with corruption, we’re also now dealing with hate against people based on tribe to the level of massively failing innocent children who know little to nothing about politics, who are just trying to secure and better their lives

We haven’t had it this bad in Nigeria before

Look, I am not your mate. I am not weighed down by pettiness, bitterness and hatred to the extent I cannot see or acknowledge the obvious.

If GEJ leads well and delivers laudable solutions, I will be first to acknowledge, endorse and encourage such as a progressive person and staunch advocate of human progress anywhere and everywhere.

Again, I will repeat that most of you did not read the submissions of Rabiu and merely rushed to speak.

I therefore challenge you, as one example, to read his thoughts on fuel subsidy removal shown below and come back to argue whether it is not a bitterly hateful enemy of progress alone who will issues with what is written eloquently and with the winning logic shown below.

Look who’s talking about pettiness is on a faceless forum claiming who is who. Na person wey no know una de take una serious.

All these trash you’re writing, why didn’t you write them in 2012 when GEJ removed subsidy? Why did people like you praise Buhari as the best for 8 years, only to agree he failed immediately after he left office

It’s only a naive individual that takes treacherous lying machines seriously.

Even the suspended Rivers Governor is applauding the state of emergency so you should know what is happening. Abacha did more than this!

More money is being spent on propaganda and image laundering than actual governance, but investors look at the numbers, shake their heads and go to other countries.
