Ikeja Electric is one of the worst private organizations in Nigeria. Electricity supply: Horrible (Below Expectation) Billing : Horrible (Prefers estimated billing, refuses to install meter/commission meters)- their officials will rather come n demand kickbacks Break fix duration Terrible (Takes them forever to even identify that something has gone down. You need to call n tell them) Customer Service: Extremely horrible (the customer service people try to be nice- but customer service is not just about telling me "our engineers are on it" or " we will look into it" . Its about resolving issues. These ladies that pick up your phone speak good english and have sweet voices but thats where it ends, they are not empowered to to resolve anything, so you end up just wasting your time and call credit- and they never call u back to give any . This is typical of a public institution but we expect much better private organization |

Hi Guys Some advise needed please With startup capital of N4.5m, what would you advise the investor to go into (something sustainable- desire is not quickest return, although that would also be nice- but sustainability is key) 1. Start a small Pharmacy/Grocery store 2. Agribusiness (raise chicken strictly for egg production) 3. Public transportation (get a bus and put in one already established transport company) 4. Any other suggestion Location: Lagos (Mainland) Thank you |

These are the kind of posts that should be banned on Nairaland- this is pure hate speech, designed to just cause trouble and inter-tribal/regional bashing

Everyone claiming on Nairaland/social media they know whats best, condemning every move and every body, comparing Nigeria with every other country but alas, they dont even have a PVC- they cant vote. You need to be able to vote to earn a right to even complain. Keep fooling yourselves with all your nonsense analyses and comparison on Nairaland all ye 'ministers of social media affairs'.

To be fair in the comparison, you need to also consider the macroeconomic environment at the different times. But I agree with the poster - Business and family doesnt necessarily have together

If Buhari Wins, he should split the Ministry of Power Work and Housing, make Ambode Minister of Works (he has been impressive with infrastructural development in Lagos) and leave Fashola with Power and Housing

TedExNairaland: How is it Poverty? How does someone trying to empower another person equate to poverty?. Many of us often have this skewed mentality that buying from the big malls equals affluence, wealth etc.. On the contrary i think its actually a poor' man's idea of wealth- thats why some people living in Agege Lagos will pay transport fare of say N200 to go buy only a bottle of coke at shoprite in Ikeja for N100. I know very many rich people living in Lekki that send their house staff to come buy food items in bulk on the mainland to save cost. Buying from the neighborhood to help the petty trader across the street isnt poverty my Friend! |

Wonder how it feels like for your wife to always be referred to as someone else's ex. Dating celebrities has got its merits...and lots of side effects as well - especially if you're no celebrity yourself
