Spent layers or old layers play the big spoiler for broiler every December, competing favorably with broiler was sold for between N2,500.00 and N2,700.00 last year might be selling between N2,900.00 to N3,100.00. And Cockerels might be selling for N3,500.00 to N6,000.00 from the farm, and probably N4,500.00 to N7,000.00 in the market this year.
But the price can varies greatly, depending on the areas, attractiveness, marketing etc

The best way to determine your return on investment is to conduct a simple market survey in your area to determine the price chicken is selling, and predict the possible price chicken will be selling for the season. Then you can make projection.
