Wireless is fine.

The difference between wireless and wired is that with wireless anyone monitoring the airwaves can find out a lot about your infrastructure, but with wired, one would have to physically connect to your network to do so.

Investment in security depends on who is being protected and what is being protected.

Given some of the information you have dropped, you are a high value target so I would advice you incorporate wireless network monitoring if you decide to go wireless.

Wireless is just as safe as wired (I say this from my professional background - no need to argue this). We can argue efficiency but some of the new architecture 5G plus is giving enough bandwidth for a prudent home .

I don't drop any information online that is secretive. Anyone that wants to monitor what a retired old fart like me does will simply die of boredom or commit suicide from jealousy grin

Happy Easter chief. Suspended ceiling in my own opinion is good for office and commercial space
Good PVC like Amoula product is not cheap compare to POP ceiling and it's flexibility is limited. It is ok in some area that doesn't require any major design.
POP is soft, and very flexible from simple design to complex design, it allows for the trending ceiling lightings and it is relatively cheaper compare to a high quality PVC. My humble submission.

When professionals talk you will know( professional in theory and practical).
Your explanation is very clear in all aspect
Cost, durability, atheistic aspect.
I will discuss more with my cleint on this, My initial option is suspended ceiling based on same analysis you gave here also.
Thanks so much Chief

From my previous posts my interests in security issues have been established.

The issue isn't íf wireless is safe or not the issue is how his installers will install it and thus leave his network open for intruders or eavesdropping.(security misconfigurations)

Also if he has a way of determining this before it becomes an issue.

If he doesn't then avoid wireless entirely.

It is a known fact in the industry that it is easier to breach wireless networks than it is to breach Ethernet networks.

I cannot count the number of supposedly secure facilities with open wireless networks because of the ease of ing the network and no one cares enough to hack me or I have no information that can be exploited.

Plus given the failures of the national grid, it makes sense in of business continuity and disaster recovery purposes to have alternative power arrangements.

So even if it is not cheaper, if you can afford it, why sacrifice the comfort?

I agree with your submission.

You’re touching my area of strength.

I did the integration of network infrastructure in the foremost malls in Lagos, we had wires running into all spaces not because we can’t afford wireless infrastructures but because we want a secure network in regards to potential data interference or theft.

Whether wireless or wired network, with good network management system - which integrates both wired and wireless infrastructure, you can always go to sleep without worries.

Well done sir. I retired 2010 grin

BIODIGESTER BIODIGESTER

I would like to explain what a Biodigester is by comparing with the human digestive system.

A biodigester is like a stomach. It is fed with organic material, which is broken down (decomposed) by micro-organisms (bacteria) in an oxygen-free (anaerobic) environment to produce a renewable energy called biogas (methane and carbon dioxide) and other material that is mainly used as a fertilizer.

On daily bases we work earnestly to meet standard and advancement in technology

Call or WhatsApp Mr Digester 08130300747

i repeatedly asked the question when we were presented with this solution - where is the methane going? i could not get a clear answer. maybe you can tell us.

also can anyone point to a biodigester installation of over 5 years?
when i tried to match research with what was being done, i got the feeling a lot of the elements are being cut out to reduce costs

Depends on location and size but you will get a Biofil digester done as low as 300k while a Biosewage digester as low as 800k

I think I’m getting my wires crossed.

What is the other one called that’s a simpler system? It wasn’t this expensive.

Further:

For anyone that wants to read more about wireless infrastructure:

https://www.cisa.gov/uscert/ncas/tips/ST05-003

This is a USA government material and list all the recommended things to do to secure your network. A lot of it also applies to wired network, it's just simple standard stuff. There is really no need to shy away from wireless networking. One will save money on rough plumbing and wires.

Thanks.

Well done!

If funding is not an issue, POP is the best in large hall with high ceiling.

A lot of halls now favour Suspended Ceiling Systems in difficult listening environments for pricing and good sound absorption. It’s a cheaper alternative to high end acoustic ceilings.

Here’s 800m2 suspended ceiling installed at Iperu.

Good that you shared, I wanted to share a resource on the same issue from SANS.

You spared me the trouble.

Tools like the Wifi Pineapple from Hak5, Tamosoft software, Proxim Wireless Adapter cards ( very loved by wireless network auditors) are used to audit wireless networks and can give an idea what sort of information can be retrieved when wireless networks are misconfigured.

This isn't just FUD.

It is a plea to install, properly configure and monitor post installation our wireless networks.

My expertise is in finding how people break in so I can prevent them breaking in in the first place.

I actually held a MCSE with many CISCO certificates from my other life pre retirement. I don’t know anything that Americans hold more dare than their medical records.

We can agree that wireless can be made safe. End s shouldn’t just go home, plunk it on the network and start surfing.

Anyone that’s going into home automation I’ll assume will encounter security configurations, even DIY.

Don't leave it to the vendor or installer to keep your network secure.

Change all default s as soon as they are gone.

I can go on and on.... But that's a good start.

If one can access your home automation network, he will try to get into your computers, etc.

Like I said in my first post, it depends on the person and the assets to be protected, your mileage may vary.

grin grin

What about the wireless analog? What’ll stop an intruder in possession of right device tuned to the right frequency from jamming your setup.

It’s not impossible but a well designed system that’s smart enough to recognize and notify owner when it’s being jammed would do fine.

Wireless cameras operating on 2.4ghz are the easiest target. They easily get overwhelmed when they encounter stronger signals from devices operating at the same frequency. Common gaming party happening next door can jam some network.

But the question remains, will “Kaka Omo Adugbo” the street petty thief have the resource, time and expertise to do this? The answer is NO!

So your submission is right.
