Face ID is just like an easier alternative to typing your code to unlock your phone or make payments,just like fingerprints scanners on android phones except its scanning your face
You can easily survive without Face ID especially since you’ve not used one before but once you’ve used it you’ll find it hard to go back since it’s really convenient

Can I swap it with my X then add money. Bought my X less than 4 month with Face ID and everything working fine. Phone still neat

It's normal. If iphone enter water, thr face ID is likely to stop function. Another cause is change of screen or serious fall.

Iphone X is prone to such issue. Others hardly develop that easily.

Avoid drinks around ur X. It happened to my guy own
