Tinubu the tribal bigot is sending CBN to Lagos in what sense? That Lagos is the Deputy FCT or what? A place Tinubu have turned into a tribal enclave. All banks should move their headquarters to Abuja. 137 Likes 18 Shares |

How's this tribally motivated FGS? When Hadi Sirika moved all aviation ministries, agencies & parastarals to Abuja, did anyone tag it as tribally motivated when they clearly had no business being in Abuja to begin with. Nigerians cannot just be separated from tribalism. ![]() 263 Likes 21 Shares |

Nigeria has never been the same since its capital was taken from Lagos to Abuja. Whatever fame and glory it has ever enjoyed, they all took place when Lagos was still the capital, ever since then Nigeria has been a shadow of itself. There's something special about Lagos !!! 189 Likes 17 Shares |

Even though this news will generate so much noise. For this below reason alone, it's a good idea. Most of the bank’s headquarters are in Lagos. The CBN usually sends staff from Abuja to work in Lagos for like one to two months and return to the head office. 158 Likes 5 Shares |

They are not sending staffs to the branch in Lagos alone, they will be sent to different CBN understaffed branches all over Nigeria and the FCT from the HQ.

They’ll mess this one up With online banking you don’t have to go to a head office to do audit Infact most of your audits are either printouts you can get from ANY branch of the bank in the country or hard copies generated mostly from online transactions 13 Likes 6 Shares |

This is the best decision to curb the nonsense going on at the apex Bank. Its funny some Nigerians are short sighted and don't understand how important it is to move some departments from the current location. This should have been done since 2012. Its the only way to break corruption at the CBN. Kudos to this government 80 Likes 9 Shares |

“What is happening now at the CBN is likened to a company with over 500 staff and say 200 used to go to work in other states and return to the head office. It is not out of place for the company to relocate them fully to that state to work and increase their safety and productivity,” he said. This is very common with most of the Federal Government agencies and it's a form of wasteful avenue to keep getting travel allowances, hazard allowances and estacodes. Even Unity Bank that used to have its headquarters in Abuja had to move to Lagos when they realised the wastages in moving between Lagos and Abuja routinely and spending so much to keep idle stuff and staff in Abuja. The question is what are those departments of CBN eg Banking Supervision doing in Abuja in the first place. Those greedy staff want to be taking estacodes and flight tickets and hotel money every month instead of staying in the place where 95% of all the banking/financial headquarters that they are supervising are based. There was a time Abacha even took NPA and NIMASA head office to Abuja before the madness was reversed during the civilian rule. The sooner we get more efficient and start saving costs the better for us. 76 Likes 10 Shares |

Why was their new Lagos head office built in the First place? Sanusi Lamido even fitted it with an helipad. The building is wasting away till date. I still have pictures of their empty offices with me as I speak. They are better off situated in Lagos than Abuja because almost all Banks are headquartered in Lagos. One key function of CBN is Banking services supervision. You can't do that effectively when your H/O is in Abuja. These CBN guys travel down to Lagos almost everyday and then raise crazy expense claims on Travel, flight, hotel Accomodation, local estacodes to the tune of several millions. These leakages should be plugged. N.B: My position is not borne out of tribalism. #Bitter fact These 3 agencies absolutely have no business in Abuja. 1. CBN 2. NNPC 3. FAAN (Aviation) 107 Likes 12 Shares |

Undoubtedly it will be resisted by those who are making money from the official trips that most times are not needful. Well-done Cardoso! First to comment.

Bliss4Lyfe: Is it that you refuse to read further abi wetin, Nlfpmod mynd44 Seun i think you people should start to delete comments that does not align with the details of a thread, because why is this quoted person going the tribal way on something that is straight forward The reason for the move is to reduce travel expenses and safety of workers since traveling within Nigeria is not safe, they'd start with lagos then move to other cbn branches in other states, I've educated you for free, you mustn't castigate the government everytime. 57 Likes 6 Shares |
