When I did mine in 2020:

Location Survey- N20,000
Borehole Drilling + Piping + Water Installation - N320,000
Workers Entertainment - N6,000
Sands Clearing - N6,000
Plumbing - N37,000
Wiring - N35,000
Welding - N45,000
Total: N469,000

This is minus the Geepee tank and its iron stand.

Okay.
I want to add something else. A question.

Some people think overhead tank is dangerous cos it could fall or collaspe.
They said putting it ontop the house is preferable.
Wat do u think?
safarifarms:

I had to setup a tank stand and buy overhead tank after. What I'm stating here is that the 250k cost didn't cover that.

I just dug one. It’s been said, A lot of factors are involved. Digging with the pipe with the exception of pump and other things cost me 1.5milliion. Each meter for drilling was 8500 and the pipe was about 18k. The depth was 150 meters.

Wow which area pls

Thank you for the correction, made it very clear and i understand why its better to drill in the dry season.

bassdow:

not easier during dry season, but better during dry season because then, the drillers would have to drill further down to get water.

This is especially GOOD for those who don't do geoGraphical survey.

Also for those who does survey, hopefully they're aware wuru-wuru sef dey for that survey, as some na oluwole.

Drilling during rainy season means during dry season, some might experience shortage of water BUT should you drill during rySeason, it's very difficult to have issues except it wasn't done well.

Also, would suggest you have an idea of how many casing those around you used. This might be difficult to know but the more people you ask, the more chances you have at getting a viable response.

Also, some drillers would tell you wether you drill during Rainy or Dry season, it doesn't matter, they would even tell you it's their JOB, but no listen Oooo because when matter start, na you go still spend more.

To avoid spending extra, if you can't afford to drill now, buy your matterials early to avoid the everyDay increase in materials

The concern is genuine and I've heard some cases including a fatal one. Two of the borehole stands I made at different properties are made of concrete based on this consideration. But the two borehole stands my parent made in 1999 were made of iron and they are still standing. Very strong iron was uses to form the main posts for both of them.

What is the deepest you have ever drilled before you came across water? 60 meters is deep, but I have heard that in some areas, the water level at that depth can be greatly reduced during the dry season and borehole won't be pumping enough water.

Surveyor cannot determine where you can find water or the depth you can get clean water.

Oga educate yourself and stop this embarrassment. Internet is cheap, don't use it only for porn.

Common sense would tell you that there MUST be something that detects underground water. For your info, I be architect and am sinking one as we speak. Educate yourself.

How much does it cost to drill (dig) a Borehole, on an average?

there is already a tank on the ground.
there is already an overhead concrete scaffold with 1 tank above.
there is already a surface pump that transfers water from the big ground tank to the tank overhead.
also, a 1.5HP submersible pump and switch has also been procured.

From this stage what is remaining to have a complete Borehole, and how much will it cost, on an average?

Every borehole drilling has its specification and depth depending on the location, every location has its depth of water aquifer...so the prices differs with the depth of the location....so be specific of the location and area
