That was unreasonable request from Wike. As a party man should there be string before you give to your party candidate? If everybody in the party are making request before they can the party candidate, how many requests can they be able to fulfill. It was senseless and stupid request from Wike and that was what I said that time.
The request should have been if you win, the post of the chairman of the party must come to the south. Seeing the presidential candidate as a substantive post defeats all reasoning.
If the party has succumbed to that request and take the chairmanship position to the south, by now it would have be a serious issue to content with because there would have been agitation that the chairmanship should be returned to the north based on the arrangement of posts distribution in the party. Wike was just been smart by half. The constitution didn't say or talk about a post of candidate. A candidate is not a substantive post. A candidate is still under trial.
Look at it, I made an observation in my last comment. If the chairmanship had been taken to the south that time, would that not result to another issue after the election lost by the party? There would be agitation for the chairmanship to the return to the north, as they are agitating today that the chairmanship should go back to the NC, because that was where the chairmanship was scheduled to be based on the party's posts distribution.
Wike's request was self serving and senseless to say the least and the bottom line is because he lost the PDP primary and he wasn't happy, a sore loser.
Being a candidate is not a guarantee that you're a substantive president because you either lose or win. How would someone sees it as a substantive post, it not he just want to rock the boat.
