2000w will also do the job, but reduce your charge current to 10a or 20a, it also depends on your mains voltage as a too low voltage will reduce your stabilizer's output capacity

10A at 230V?? If yes then that’s more than sufficient for my needs.

Hello everyone, please I'm seeking recommendations for a reliable 5kWh 24V lithium battery with a minimum of 6000 cycles.

You later got the mppt, how much did you get the Felicity?

Yes I later got the Felicity MPPT for 70k. I only use one at the moment cos I returned the faulty . I’ll buy 2 Africell s next month, Gods grace. The Africell store at Alaba, when I called, said it’s 41k.

Inverters can't be charged; batteries can.
Yeah. Probably, I didn't phrase the question properly. I meant if the gen can power the inverter to charge the battery

Oga get yourself a multimeter..it is useful for many things not just solar....I got mine 4days ago at the rate of 6k in arena, in your area it can't be more then 7/8k....from my reading...am getting 4.5/5amp on my 200w africell ...I did not focus on voltage cos am using pwd controller I only need 13/14 volts.
Are you sure about the price? I thought multimeters are usually over 200k

Merry Christmas everyone,

One of my tubular battery water levels is down. I watched several YouTube videos and found out it's a DIY.

Is there any reason why I should not do it myself?

Also, the second battery's water level has not reached the red mark. Do I need to top it so both batteries hit the green mark?

You can do it yourself. Top up with distilled water to green mark.

Complement of tbe season.I am.in the process of upgrading my batteries to Lifepo4 but my challenge is that my inverters are Luminous and Genus brands.Does anyone have any experience with using LifePo4 with these regular inverters? Are there any pros or cons? Do I have to change my inverter also?

Kindly advice and share your views please

Pls, what's a damaged 150w worth to abokis ( condemned iron pickers)?

I have 3 sets of POwMR mppt charge controller on each inverter set.The inverters are Luminiys Zelios 1.5kva, Genus 2.5kva and Taflon 5kva.Each set up powers different load sections.Getting new inverters in this Tinubu era is not an option

Cut the stress get a new inverter, Hybrid with MPPT top Choice.

Since you have Controller already, You can use those inverter however you should not charge with them.

Just be mindful of the LFP you buy, it must low voltage cut of at 10V.

I know this is the best option but na money I dey look and the three inverters will now be a total waste.

Why won't your inverter work with LifePO4?
Same charging profile : 14.5v with grid
Regular cut off 10.5v at 2.625v per cell.
Wetin u con want us wey don dey use dumb inverters ( Satchet) for past 12yrs con do?

My battery had only dropped below 11v once in years.

GET ACTIVE BALANCER and you are good to go.

Oga, use dem like that.

But If u feel u get d money for this era spend it.

Bros, this is encouraging.I just wanted to be sure it will work considering I will be investing in LFP which ain't cheap.Thank goodness you have first hand practical experience on it

It all depends on what is more suitable for you, from your personal point of view ......weighing the cost and the stress involved.

Of course, the other option is to use your present inverters as @dollarnaira said.
However to avoid undue stress on your BMS and the batteries

* you and the other s of the inverter can act as a human BMS to enforce the LVD( cos some units can drain your battery to 10v before disconnecting).
OR
* Get an external LVD
OR
* Get a battery bank that will conveniently power your loads without any significant drop in the voltage.

Personally, after weighing the above options especially the bolded part and the cost of the Lithium battery i realised that the @Dam5reey1 option was better for me.

I am a living bms. grin grin
Bluetooth bms is editable which aint cheap and it is the best.
Your inverter which most likely will cut off at 10.5v is far far better than dumb bms that most invest on. Unless its lvd is above 2.5v other most of them are 2.5v per cell.

Only certain inverters of lower wattage usually cut off at 9 or 9.5v.

Confirm the lvd of ur inverter first though almost all 1.5kva and above should have lvd of 10.5 or 11v.

This shouldn't be a problem.I have electricity for about 20hours daily and enough s as well.My old AGM ( Trojan 6v 315ah) just got depleted and I am considering changing toFP instead of tubular.

Get a lipo4 with smart bms. The LVD can be set to 12v so it trips off the battery or play the human observer and ensure u switch of once battery gets to 12v
