There is no illegality in extension of service chiefs.

It's an appointment position, that made it out of the purview of

public service rules. The extension is base on president discretional power.

This guy!
I watched him on Curiosity Made Me Ask and my respect for him deepened.
The man is fearless.
His brashness and pride is his only problem.
If he becomes Nigerian president by mistake ehn, they go finish am because he will show all the past leaders pepper.

I stand fully with Sowore on this. The IGP should retire and let others rise. If those ahead of him did not retire, he wouldn’t have risen to the position of Inspector General of Police.

Everyone should go at 60. It’s the best way for the system to progress. I will never all these politically motivated tenure extension that violates public service career progression.
Right from time your messiah Bula blu is know to always violate the system of public service. For you to Sowore means you are against your messiah. Your 30k is at stake. Be careful.

Sowore is just a perpetual loser. IGP wont even bother responding to a nutjob like sowore

If I were you, I would react to the injustice he is fighting for and not through a petty attack at his personality . The law stipulates that a public servants retires either at age 60 or after 35 years in service (whichever that comes first) and this very IG has attained that age.

The rule of law can never be effective when it is bent to favour one party over another.

I may not like Sowore, but earns my respect on what he stands for.

Sowore should stop being a nuisance.
If he has issues with the law allowing IGP to continue for 4 years he should attack NASS not the IGP

The drafters of the bill said they put adverts in 7 newspapers when they were deliberating the new law asking the public and civil society organizations to provide input….they didn’t see Sowore!

Read the Police Act before blabbing

Fvck the police act. Everyone should go at 60. It was similar greed like this that made Ahmed Idris ran into trouble when he refused to retire as ant General at 60. Today, he’s regretting that decision. In public service, leave when the ovation is loudest. The entire system will now start working against him till he runs into trouble.

Shariah doesn't fight leaders or protesting against them.

Just like you can't fight your dad!

And i also wasn't expecting you to have sense too!

But Sharia didn't stop you from fighting against Jonathan and protesting against him.

But Sharia didn't stop your evil Muslim brothers in the UK, Canada and USA from protesting against the governments in those countries.

You further expose the hypocrisy in your ungodly, demonic fake religion.

Sewonre is not in the position to retire IG Egbetokun and the the police boss wouldn't be the first person to stay beyond their tenure as law requires. If the laws of the land backed his position and time, then so be it.

It is not discretionary power. It is there in the police act in black and white and a federal high court has ruled that the section 7 of the police act which provides a guaranteed 4 year term for the IG overrides section 18 which mandates retirement at 60yrs.

It is not an extension and it is not discretionary. It is the new law. Untill and unless a higher court says otherwise, under the law, as interpreted by the judiciary which is the organ of government charge with interpreting the law, an IG once appointed is not required to retire at 60.

How many times does one have to tell you people? The law changed in 2020 and the matter has already gone to court in respect of the last IG. The term of an Ig is 4 years “it is sacrosanct” (words of the judge not mine) irrespective of his age!

What I find appalling is the fact that some of you are defending anarchy, I won't be surprised if we wake up one and PBat start amending the constitution for tenure elongation.
