Don't send her any more money. Shebi na flask? You actually need a good one when expecting a baby. Enter market go buy am by yourself. That should give you a little eye opener for how expensive baby things are as a good flask wont be less than 20k.

Women should know the financial strength of their husbands and spend accordingly. Flask is one of the first things she should have bought. How do u spend the money finish then you haven't bought flask?

Yes 200k is not enough if that's what she's asking for but it's manageable..just add more to the 200k. God bless your family.

Let her send you the comprehensive list while you go buy them.
100 pack of diaper/wipe)
Baby clothes(night,day,outing for immunization,naming/christening)
Flask.
Bed alone.
All these alone would wipe the money off.

People earning 30k usually have other sources of income. Don't let their salary give you a false impression of their reality. Some folks have relatives home and abroad who assist in many ways. Many work in places where they get daily tips. Many times, these tips serve as their major source of income.

200k is not enough for baby things. If you can't afford more than 200k, then you have to do what others do (buy fairly used products, OK wears, and talk to families who have some of these used products to add to whatever you can afford). The journey hasn't even started.

My brother is because this is her first baby πŸ₯ na so everything go dey hungry am to buy..
And las las na few things the baby go use when him come life...
Speaking from experience...

Don't waste your money .

Give her samples that our parent trained us without all those miscellaneous things they are buying now.

Yes somebody earning 30k won't buy anything and yet the baby won't die and will grow healthy😊😁

Tell her I said so πŸ‘

Hopefully this tells you the cost involved in having children and raising them. Going forward, don't have more than another baby.

How do you measure healthy growth? When you compare Nigerians with citizens of developed and many other developing countries like China, considering how advanced they are and their level of IQ, I don’t think Nigerians are healthy.

Does a man who stole nearly 2 trillion naira and then turned around to blame Aboki Fx for our economic woes seem healthy to you?

200k should be enough to get baby things. That's of course assuming that the cost of child birth in the hospital is excluded.

That said, if you are the father, I'll ask if you are really ready to have this child. If 200k is something that is causing you concern. You have bigger bills in front.

200k is not enough, but if it is what you two can afford. Then it has to be enough. I hope this 200k doesn't include delivery items o.

Asides clothing, hygiene items and diapers. I think others should be left until the baby is born and the need arises. Even clothings, they outgrow them fast and they don't go out until much later, so I don't see the need to buy plenty. I will advise you ask for the list and bring it down to the essentials. Others na jara. Flask is an essential, buy that one.

While she's saying 200k is not enough (which in reality it may not be) , let me ask this pertinent question... What is her own FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTION to the getting of baby things? Abi is her own just to write list and go to the market to buy everything she sees? Or isn't she also the mother of the baby, who should also make financial contributions to getting the baby all it needs?

I think you both are right. SMA comes in two sizes: 400g and 900g. The prices of both sizes also vary depending on the age of your baby (0-6 months, which cost more, then the follow-on 6-12 months, and 1-3 years).

What you saw is definitely the 400g follow-on formula for either 6-12 months or 1-3 years.
