Every thing in Nigeria is different. The frustration by Nigerian officials is unlike any where else. Have patience, have money (especially Pounds & Dollars) you will succeed.

He should see it and deport all Nigerians in addition to placing a visa ban on us.
Having access to another person's house is not a right, except you have something of value to offer.
Maybe that will reset our brains to fix our own country. cheesy

Neo-black Problem: Must Blacks Be Ruled by Whites in Order to Prosper?

In short, the neo-black dilemma may be framed as follows: is it better to live under white rule without political dignity but with basic life-sustaining standards for many;

or to live under black rule with illusory political dignity and without basic life- sustaining standards for the majority?

The path forward for Africa lies in cultivating higher and adequate levels of personal and communal agential integrity as well as full personal responsibility and productivity. Not to mention creativity (including epistemic creativity), productive justice (such as merit and freedom), harmony and reconciliation at local and international levels, and a proper domestication of capitalism and other related values and institutions.

Africa must stop wasting her time on dreams of socialism because it is a system of wealth distribution primarily. Whereas, capitalism is a system of wealth creation primarily, and wealth has to be produced before it can be distributed.

There's no double standard.

A woman is expected after completing her marriage rites to go and be in her husband's house.

That is why the Nigerian govt confers automatic citizenship to a foreign woman married to a Nigerian man.

And why is the oyibo man complaining about having to reside in Nigeria for at least 15 years before being eligible for citizenship? If he wants so desperately to be Nigerian , he should come and live here.

SA should apply this rule as well...😏😏😏... So that any man who marries an SA lady would have to live in SA for 20 years before being eligible for an SA port.

This is the DUMBEST man that ever dumbed!

He's a US Citizen with a US port and he's BITCHING about NOT getting a Nigerian port.

Absolute MADNESS!

For context, the US port can travel to 186 countries in the world WITHOUT Visa. The Nigerian port can only travel to 44, mostly African, countries WITHOUT Visa.

Owning a US port and still bitching about not getting a Nigerian port is like standing in a SPRING of sparkling water and still begging for PUREWATER.

It's MADNESS!
Nland kid have spoken Nigeria is the largest market in Africa to the extent that MTN the biggest telecom in Africa can't survive without Nigeria grin . A United States citizen married to a Nigerian woman has taken to social media to express deep frustration over the challenges he’s facing in trying to acquire Nigerian citizenship and a port, despite being legally married and having Nigerian children.

In a video making rounds online, the man, who is currently in the U.S., questioned what he described as a “double standard” in Nigeria’s immigration and citizenship process. According to him, his research online shows that when a Nigerian man marries a foreign woman, she becomes eligible to apply for a Nigerian port almost immediately. However, the reverse doesn’t apply when a Nigerian woman marries a foreign man.

"Why is it that if a Nigerian man marries a foreigner, the wife gets her port, but if a Nigerian woman marries a foreigner, he has to live in Nigeria for 15 years before even being considered eligible?" he asked.

The footage also shows him holding up the Nigerian ports of his wife and their children, further emphasizing his point that he is already family and committed to Nigeria by blood and marriage.

He lamented that the process appears discriminatory and questioned whether the information he found online is truly accurate or if there are exceptions. “Why me?” he repeatedly asked, hoping that what he read isn't entirely true and that there could still be a path forward for him.

NIGERIANS DONT NEED SA PORT. NIGERIANS DONT NEED SA CITIZENSHIP

Nigerians need simple permits to be able to travel btwn SA and Nigeria easily and freely without the baseless harassments and do business freely without useless discrimination and xenophobic harassment

There is absolutely Nothing special or spectacular about SA port or citizenship. U have it but u are still poor broke and always doing protest
So what will the citizenship do for me.

America and other countries should adopt the same standard. No citizenship for foreign men marrying their women. He should lobby Trump. Pretty sure Trump and his allies would be eager to adopt it.

Anyone know his YouTube. Let me suggest it to him.

It's very simple. Our people who marry your people don't get American ports while residing in Nigeria. They have to be resident over there.

Show me a person who married an American and never went over there and still got a US port eventually?

There no double standard

If this is true, it definitely looks misogynic to me. Absolute double standards.

The funny thing is that trying to follow legal routes to get this document is cumbersome for most foreigners, but if they follow other routes, they can even enter Nigeria and live permanently for long with no documents or even get this port if they sort the higher powers in immigration office Abuja.

He is right about the discriminatory law baked into our nation's constitution.

Section 26(2) provides that the president may confer Nigerian citizenship on “any woman who is or who has been married to a citizen of Nigeria.” By implication, this section limits the right of a Nigerian woman to transmit her nationality to a foreign husband.

Section 26 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
(1) Subject to the provisions of section 28 of this Constitution, a person to whom the provisions of this section apply may be ed as a citizen of Nigeria, if the President is satisfied that -

(a) he is a person of good character;

(b) he has shown a clear intention of his desire to be domiciled in Nigeria; and

(c) he has taken the Oath of Allegiance prescribed in the Seventh Schedule to this Constitution.

(2) the provisions of this section shall apply to-

(a)any woman who is or has been married to a citizen of Nigeria; or

(b) every person of full age and capacity born outside Nigeria any of whose grandparents is a citizen of Nigeria.

This your statement shows how mayopic you are. Why should it be easy for an American to get Nigerian citizenship when it is extremely difficult just getting their visa.
You are missing the point. If a nigerian man marries a foreign wife, she automatically qualifies to be issued a nigerian port but if a nigerian woman narries a foreign man, that man is not eligible to be issued with a naija port. That's what the man dey complain about.
