I got 7 noiler day old noiler in the first week of December 2024, two turned out to be male while five turned out female. To my surprise, after 4 months and a week they started laying. I have been of the opinion that it takes around late in the 5th month to the 6th months for noiler birds to start laying. Thoughts on this?

I left two broilers with the Noilers. They are of the same age and the male noiler has been mounting one of the broilers. The broiler dropped an egg in my presence yesterday. It was surprisingly smaller than those of the noilers who are smaller in size

My male noiler have been crossing the females and the btwo broilers among them. The difference in the egg is the color. While the noiler eggs are deep brown, the eggs of the broiler have overtime become way bigger in size and closer to white in colour. It was while eating a broiler egg that I noticed a reddish blot. Afterwards, I took a broiler egg and placed it under my local chicken. The difference is huge in of the size of the egg of the broiler and those laid by the local chicken. Happily today, I saw a the broiler chick alongside the chicks of the local chicken have been hatched. The difference in size of the chicken is huge. Now looking forward to how the Noiler male and Broiler female cross chicken will fare. Will a pic when I am chanced

1.The Noiler/Broiler cross at two days with local hen
2. Noiler eggs with the a broiler egg which is different in colour and bigger in size
3. All my noilers and broilers. Picture did not do justice to the size of male noilers
4. The local hen with its chicks including the noiler/broiler chick hatched by it

That cross chick is already so big.
I have seen how big those noiler males can get, but the problem seems to be their weight especially if they aren't fed pure formulated feeds.

I feed them whatever i can lay my hands on. Today I grinded weevil infested beans, maize, moringa leaf, rice husk and will later add soya beans chaff. After mixing everything, I'll add two handful of the commercial feed.
