Why did Makinde agree when he knew he will renege on the agreement?

udemzyudex:By your reckoning, insisting that he who pays the piper dictates the tune amounts to bringing down the party. Wike is only maximising his resources! That is politics played smartly. |

Wike is really showing how backward Nigeria is moving…this country has the most bleak future all over Africa ne abuse some people are still ing hun when even a 10 year will be flogged if he is doing what he is doing…Wike is saying he wants the best for the pdp and still saying the Apc will rule for the next 6 years…Why is this country so full of fools ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 2 Likes |

That Wike is still even allowed to be in a meeting of PDP shows how obsolete Nigeria is 💯

advocatejare: Jonathan was the first to break the internal PDP agreement for power rotation and that was why the northerners betrayed him. OBJ did two , it was supposed to swing back to the north hence, Yar'Adua. Unfortunately he died and GEJ completed his term, per PDP 'rules' it was still their turn up north but Jonathan insisted, and he had his way. 2015 came, he still didn't wanna comply so they betrayed him. Everyone knows that Jonathan was the first person to violate the PDP power rotation formula |

Sirianese:It’s two-sided issue. I when there was a challenge flying up and down for anyone who had the agreement signed by Jonathan to do only one term to bring it out, no one could do that. So we can’t really confirm if such agreement existed at all Even if there was such an agreement and he reneged, was it worth the deliberately destroying their own party and ing force with strangers to crown an outsider? What did pdp benefit from that coalition? Nothing, saraki that became the senate president by force had himself against the executives and later left the party. So in the end, it would have been better for pdp to allow Jonathan do his second term than to destroy their own party! |

prettytasha: Sit back and you will realize it is all about Personal Greed of the Party Leaders. The calculation of the Party Leaders are these: - Maybe Wike can offer me something at Government level, so let me not treat his Bleep-up? - Wike will me in his good books, in the future, for looking the other way - if l bet between Wike that is now in Government as a Minister of the FCC (like a State Governor) and the Party that is just an Opposition, which one can provide me with the better, immediate benefit? I think l will side with Wike and ignore all the Bleep-ups he is doing tot our Party. So, they would rather keep quiet and watch him destroy the PDP, in the hope of Personal benefit..... that will never come. This is the nature of Nigerian Politicians, a group that lacks any form of Honor or Integrity. 1 Like |

zoedew: One can almost be tempted to think that the Money Wike was using to finance his Party, was his personal Money?! The Money he was using, belongs to River State, The People of Rivers State own those Funds. And he could do so because Rivers State, aside from Lagos, gets the highest Money from the Federal Purse, as an Oil producing state. Rivers State also gets money from NDDC and other sources, that other PDP states dont get money from. And Wike was doing it (funding the Party), in the hope that he can lay claim to the Party (the way Tinubu usurped AD/ACN in Lagos and the South West) and use it for advancing his own political Empire. You can see how he insisted that the PDP National Convention must be done in Rivers State, that time. Also, he wanted to leverage that funding, to get the Party's Presidential Ticket and when he couldn't get it (because Atiku out-spent/out-bribed him at the Convention! ![]() These are my opinion and understanding of events, so l dont think Wike was just being magnanimous to the PDP by spending Rivers State Money on the Party, it was all a Pre-Planned Scheming to use the Party for Personal Advantage. BTW; he can be easily removed at any NEC Meeting and Heaven will not Fall. The worst that can happen, which is him working for the opposition, is already happening. It is the "Individual Greed" of the PDP Leaders, that is still allowing Wike to rubbish the Party and get away with it. It is good riddance to rubbish though, the PDP has outlived his usefulness and deserves to be disbandded. |

smallsmall: I think they are also scared of Wike bringing out receipts of how he singlehandedly funded PDP during those years Atiku went into But what they don't understand is that Wike cannot expose such financial dealings without laying himself open to serious lawsuits and even prosecution by the Nigerian government...because Wike has never worked a day outside of politics in his entire life and he cannot legally for all that money he spent during those years or even for all the money he's still spending |

prettytasha: Who are the PDP that will suppend Wike ? Is it Atiku or Saraki that decamped to APC and brought an APC, Buhari, to Power? Infact, Wike has been the most consistent and committed PDP Member bar none. A man that single handedly sponsored the party all through the buhari draconian 8 years. All he has been saying is, zone presidency to the South. But, for the most impatient, unstrategic and foolish politician called Atiku wouldn't allow that. To him, until he becomes president zoning cannot stand in PDP. He that comes to equity most come with clean hands. Atiku should be banned for hijacking PDP and not Wike. |
