Who owns the party if not him?? Or what do you think to own party means?? He should influence the payment of the same party you claim he doesn't own??

Please unread and read again.

We must destroy PDP at all cost.
PDP is the root cause of Nigerias problems today.
It was founded by the same military generals that 1st destroyed Nigeria and handed over to another generation of highly corrupt politicians.
Nothing tangible happened from 1999 to 2015
NOTHING

PDP MUST FALL!!!

he should clap for himself, he would not remain there forever, but one thing i know is that One party system would not work in Nigeria, anybody telling Tinubu that it would work would even cost him 2017.

Some will be hailing Wike for this act, that he is man of integrity.

But his own integrity is shameless, if not, why should PDP be owing, he behaves as if he owns the party, because of that he loves to influence everything about the party, yet he can't influence the payment of the party's debt.
cry cry baby.

Sir I know what you mean but except someone is naive, you will know that to avoid blame, there are collateral damages. We are adults here.

The question is, is the PDP indebted to the FCDA as per ground rent?

If "Yes", there's no need trying to guilt trip Wike.

You and I might not like him but on this one, he got it right.

Let's deal with impunity and watch it die irrespective of party and what not.

How can a party that held sway at the center for 16 uninterrupted years be owing ground rent for that long

What are they teaching us?

Besides, it is Madam, not Sir.

so what would work if one party system won't work? Maybe you were still too young to know that PDP once had 28 sitting governors in this country when Atiku was the VP and it was ok, or as they usually say "victory for democracy" then.

Let nobody come here to say this or that has been his target, for God sake why are the big names the ones dragging the country bad while making laws and policies that they will not comply to, but for the poor to comply. This issue of rent has been on for a while but I think many of them thought Wike is a joke and now he is proving to them that he means business.

It will do us loads of good, if we try as much as possible to do away with sentiments and emotions, when it is not absolutely needed in this country.

Since they issued them warning letters...serious organisation would have paid the debt

Can you really justify why PDP refused to pay

This is the real question we should be concerned about

What a shame a whole once biggest party in Africa, after ruling this country for good 16 years, apart from presidents and their vices, they produced great numbers of house of reps and Senate , governors and many more yet not only they're owing ground rent, they couldn't complete their headquarters.

Nigeria experience highest oil boom so far during their regime yet there were nothing to show for it, they squandered the proceed at end of the day they resulted to borrowing money to pay workers salary

They are only good at rigging elections.
So wat APC known for so far after 12years in power?? Dey ⏯️

FIRS

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6jo9SXITFsU?si=IreLawOqkPkrNKS2
The FCDA mistakenly sealed FIRS office. Official documents have since confirmed it was an error, and the office was reopened immediately.

Meanwhile, the FCDA has sealed the PDP’s Wadata Plaza. Instead of crying foul and alleging witch-hunt, Theo Abu and Emma should simply present proof of payment and resolve the issue.

These things are not hard.

People like you believe the law is for the poor only.
Oga, so long as a law has been broken, you have no right to complain when law enforcement agents come calling. You want Wike to pursue almajiris from Abuja but you don't want PDP to pay rent because of what? I don't understand!

This is why Nigeria is not moving forward. You are here blaming the enforcers. Why didnt PDP pay the Ground Rent? This has been in the news for almost 1 yr now. Come and try that in sane country, the govt will put a lien on the property within 2yrs, someone will buy the lien and the house will go on sale in foreclosure in less than 3yrs lol. 28yrs, No GroundRent and you blame Minister Wike. You are PART of the PROBLEM.

So pdp with over 16 years in power you are still on land renting? Pls you mean as a ruling party for over 16 years you couldn't purchase that land and owned it permanently? Fine, if you can not buy the land than to rent it so you mean you ruled for over 16 years with so many governors in today Nigeria yet owing land rental?

I give up. And Dubai landlord going here ad there doing nonsense dead on arrival coalition?

A people deserve the type of leaders they get.
This is a shameless man given political appointment by an opposition party because he rigged and rewrote election results in his Rivers state to favour Tinubu. He accepted the job and has been shamelessly acting like a bull in a China shop in the FCT.

They always want to eat and acquire without giving back to the society.

They shortchange due process because they feel untouchable and claim birthright of Nigeria and therefore anything is grabbable for free.

No wonder they are against Wike and Tinubu's policies that have taken free subsidy fund and forex racketeering away from them

Glad to see we still have people on Nairaland who are driven by cold logic rather than maudlin and parochial sentiment.

Kudos, Nickxtra!

Why didn't they pay their ground rent?

Thank you!

If they paid their ground rent, there would be no excuse to seal off their HQ.

Wike has been warning them about this debt for months, but they did not deem it fit to pay, and even went ahead to choose it as their NEC venue.

Yet some people blinded by emotion are here defending the indefensible.

Was PDP owing or not owing? That is the question. Are they supposed to be above the law because they are a political party?

Yes, but that consistency must start from somewhere abi?

So, regardless whether or not you like Wike, start by giving him kudos for proving that NOBODY is above the law.
