It's a road not a factory. The completed section can be put to use right away, even a section of a factory can be commissioned.
Not everything is to be criticized.

Work is ongoing in Akwa Ibom and Cross River. Work is ongoing on the section 2 in Lagos. The whole section 1 in Lagos will likely be completed this year base on the pace they are working. The government will be commissioning the road phase by phase. The road will reduce the traffic at that corridor.

Should they wait until the entire road is complete before it s are allowed to use it?

For those with a brain. The rest of the road is to be financed with the tolls from the Lagos section. So the quicker it is “commissioned” and tolled the quicker the rest of the road is completed! Government is not paying for the whole road!

PBAT is the bomb. Let all who are progressive give it to him on infrastructure and the readiness to spend the more money now available to government, from fuel subsidy removal etal, on Nigerians.

The 45k stipend to encourage Nigerians attend technical colleges is another stupendous great move. Anyone with experience of the West, especially Europe, will tell you that many workers with superior technical skills arr created as producted of the equivalent of technical colleges they attended.

In fact, most of these guys, like Gas technicians, kitchen fitters and specially-trained luxury vehicle mechanic for example, earn considerably more than university graduated do because their skills are key and vital to society !!

If well-trained and experienced British plumbers, tilers, bricklayers, electricians etal work on any prestigious house in Nigeria then owner of said house should go to sleep knowing they are gaining a house built to virtually best standard possible.

We need those in Nigeria to provide well-paid employment for Nigerians who cannot go the University route plus provide high level of technical skills expertise for our nation.

Bro, we all certainly know those who covet ownership and control of the State the most yet never have a good thing to say about Lagos and her Yoruba leaders.

Your past posts are here bro so quit "real Lagosian" thing abeg. PrinceOfLagos and co will claim "real Lagosian" too yet we know them.

What am I reading here
You want to commission 30km out of 47km of a section of a 700km road?
Are you guys this desperate?

A 700km road will be financed from tolling 30km? Are you a comedian or something?
The minister said the project is EPC you are here saying something else and you say you have a brain!

Before you come here insulting people, first make sure you have your facts right else you look like a Full!

The contract is EPC+F not EPC. The "+F" means the contractor is providing some of the financing for the road, I beleive about 70% of the cost. The reason they need to toll the Lagos segment of the road early is because it is the most traffcked portion and will help the contractor in allaying the financing costs of the road. No one said the Lagos toll alone will pay for the road. I am not responsible for your low IQ! The govt is providing only a portion of the financing of the road, specifically the early stages to get the road going, the rest is from the contractor which means they will have to raise funds via other means like bank financing and carbon credits, being able to toll economically viable portions of the road early makes it easier to get the financing required.

Imbe cile!
