Thank GOD that Buhari nominated and also defended him when the need arose that time. If it were to be this nepostic government we have today, he would have nominated his tribal fellow.

Dumb post, he is Yoruba like the incumbent president. Noone I repeat noone can be as clannish and nepostic as Buhari.

If you are not dump you wouldn't say Buhari is more nepostic than T-pain. Buhari never concentrated his appointments on northwest where he comes from but the entire north maybe you can say. Tinubu is ruling with one sixth of the country while Buhari ruled with half. Which is better?

Egypt once had its achiever. Mohammed el baradei. When he tried to run for president, Dem show am shege.

Gabon had Jean Ping. When he tried to run for president , the street showed him valuwence in double fold.

Even Ouattara that held a high position in world bank before he entered ivorien politics, it took him 20 years before he saw the fruits of victory.

African politics na street game. If you have been away from the street and you suddenly try to come.back, dem go pepper you well well

Or why hasn't Emeka anyakou run for office since he retired from the Commonwealth? Because he knows better than to fight with our type of politicans.

If you want to be in politics as an African technocrat, start small. Don't try something that would draw too much attention..OR wait till the situation is really chaotic, like the Liberian civil war, where all the street boys will agree you can run the show till things calm down, then they will kick you out and hand over the job to one of their number.
Very few see the bigger realistic picture when it comes to African politics...they think in Idealistic and believe that some fella has some magic wand forgetting that we have an ever evolving chaotic system in Africa and nothing is handed ala carte hence the need to fight.

A person in the mould of an Adesina who went from one board room meeting to another where everything is almost choreographed, knowing the realities of our unique political system will 9 out of 10 choose to stay out of it. Except when beckoned upon, with the risks marginally low, will he choose to get in the political game!

Late Dora Akunyili as NAFDAC DG comes to mind. She was doing great there until she was moved to be Information Minister, then she came face to face with the insider power tussle that happens behind the scenes.

Adesina is good man, recently he's been associating with some rogue politicians, definitely he isn't a saint as many will think. If he becomes the president, nothing will still change, Nigeria is never controlled from within, until we go the way of Burkina Faso, cut off every foreign influence in every sector, govern ourselves with what we have, used what have to produce what we need, the North will not even agreed to another southerner from Yoruba tribe even though the current one isn't Yoruba by all available revealed proofs . Freedom from the imperialist is all we need.

No. We prefer the man from Bangladesh who was governor of Anambala for eight years but does not have a single legacy project to his name.
What do you mean he has no legacy project to his name? He built a brewery. A very alcoholic brewery.

I think the youth should come together as one and begin to search for people like Adeshina , Okonjo Iweala etc, across the length and breadth of Nigeria to rescue the country from the current political class.

Africa is an important warfront in the battle between the West and the Chinese Russians. The African Development Bank is capable of placing Africa firmly within the Western camp.

The Chinese Russians should be made to understand that Africa is part of the West. Geographically, politically, socially, militarily and of course economically.
