How true is this statement? I heard about it too. what will happen to already scheduled F1 interview appointments?
Hello.
It's not yet enacted by the U.S. government because it's not yet posted on U.S embassy website. I read about it too. It's on Google.
President Trump can pronounce a new law but not all laws can be put to work immediately because they will review those who will be at greatest advantages and disadvantages of such laws. If enacted, your current appointment stands but subsequent appointments will takes further screening and the first-step would be to your social media/platforms ie Facebook, Instagram, Twitter a.k.a X etc, and then after ing the screening you will be summon for an appointment.** I don't want to fault president Trump on this as most evil perpetrators (Americans especially) display their evil intent on social medias before carrying out their evils. 👍

1. Write GRE
2. Your profile is already stained with your sister being a tie in the uk
3. Secure Funding, that helps you clean your profile.
4. F1 is like a Triangle, wider at the Base and it gets so thinner every time you get it wrong.
5. There are no emotions ooo !!
Thank you @Hayormide212 for your advice

Hello Okoye.
YOU
Please guys, I am preparing for another student visa interview, after being previously denied. I want to share my full details and seek advice from experts here. I really want to weigh my chances and get guidance on what to do better this time. Please find my information below:
*** Your full details here is not enough because it only briefed your transcript. Your full detail should be your previous ds - 160 details and your overall profile but lets leave that side.
YOU
My interview Transcript
Unsuccessful Application.
Abuja.
Visa denial under section 214b
*** Aside of INA 221g, 214b is the 2nd best reason for all visa denials which allows you to re-apply. Any other reason (s) other than the mentioned is worst ie ..
Criminal History
INA section 212(a)(2).
Previous Visa Violations.
INA section 212(a)(9)(B)
Fraud or Misrepresentation.
INA section 212(a)(6)(C)(i). ETC.....
YOU
Who is your sponsor?
I was given a tuition assistance of 1,188 dollars and the rest of my tuition fees as well as my living expenses will be covered by My elder sister, ... in the UK, she earns between 48000 - 50000 dollars yearly, Plus, she doesn’t have kids or any major financial commitments, so she’s in a great position to fully fund my Education. I also have $10,000 in savings to supplement her .
*** If i were the consular and you have scored all points B4 this i would still have denied you based on this unnecessary story ( my elder sister is my sponsor....Period). If the consular needs further info he or she will ask eg,... Where is your sister ? What does she do ? Etc.
YOU
Current Profile:
Have Bsc in Computer Sci
Program: Master’s in Information Technology
I’m a Cloud Security Engineer (1 yr work experience here), with 3 years of work experience in the tech field.
COA: $22,500
Tuition assistance from school: $1,188
My elder sister is my sponsor (my I-20 states “Family”), and I will contribute $10,000 from my personal savings to it (I have proof of this).
I have no international travel history.
*** Your overall working experiences is good.
*** You should have transferred the $10k to your sister and state her as the only sponsor . Combining funds or sponsors means you are struggling to gather the resources.
*** Anyways since you have proofs just equip yourself with self proof as well as your sister's financial proof. Proof of honesty to corroborate what you are saying in tandem with your Form I-20 & DS 1-60 infos is actually what the consular needs.
** You do not need international travel experience to secure F1 visa. Its not part of the requirements. Its only a kind of requirement for B1/B2. 👍
Thank you @Efetobore1980 for your advice

Thank you so much for this
Efetobore1980:
*** Consular officers even your schools in America prefers that your scholarship award money, money from sponsors etc is deposited in your personal because that is the best guaranteed that you have direct access to the funds.
** Your father or mother does not need to write a letter (as in affidavit of by an organisation etc) of . Just go along with the financial proof of where the money is coming from as the embassy knows how to .
** I am not in of combined or t sponsors (except t scholarship awards) especially within same family because this will look like you are struggling to raise the funds which is not good enough as one of the t-sponsor may disappoint in the subsequent year.
If your t sponsorship is already a fait accompli just provide the full evidence and be honest to the consular about it but neither of your parent should write any letter. 👍

It hasn't been posted on the US embassy website and social media pages so it isn't official. Go ahead and try to book a date.

Hi, has your visa been issued now?
D12whizzy:
Congrats on your visa issuance!
Did you experience istrative processing (AP) in Abuja?
Just trying to figure out if delays are more common at Lagos—I’ve been on AP since the 9th for a visa renewal and haven’t gotten any updates yet.
Someone I know got cleared in Abuja in just 3 days, so I’m a bit anxious.
I need to return to the US very soon for work authorization, and the delay is starting to stress me out.

Hi
Can the visa application fee be paid with a Visa card on a Nigerian USD domiciliary ?

well going to another country means you'd be applying for the US visa as a third country national (TCN), you can try it as a last resort. but you will still need to prove your home ties and you will face more scrutiny. but it is definitely doable. people have done it

People have been paying with Nigerian cards so go ahead and try. Someone helped me pay with a USA card, I didn't use a naija card. People on this thread have done it, so try too.
