Obi should play politics the Nigerian way to even have a glimpse chance of success. You don't come to the devil's dinning table and wearing white.

Obi and Atiku had their chances in 2023 and blew it away. If Obi had agreed to pair Atiku in 2023, they would have won and Atiku would have potentially prepare Obi for 2031. Politics is not by "gragra" or "I too know ". Its better to serve a master, pay your dues and get positioned for higher power than to throw yourself into the ring when you are less prepared.
