Don’t ever mention Enugu. Enugu is the largest urban slum in Nigeria full of dilapidated infrastructure, poverty, unemployment, illiteracy, slums, insecurityy , etc

Kemetian:

UK:

Unemployment
Underemployment - You have a degree but work as security guard or Uber driver.
High Taxes Depleting your Income
You pay rent.
Road Tax
Car Insurance
Water rate
Electricity rate
Child care fees if you are working and have kids. Nothing like ''housegirl'' there.
Council tax
Income tax
Phone rate
By month end you're broke.

Only a matter of time before they tax you for the air you breathe.

Of what use is ''good road'' and ''good educational system'' when your life is crap?

There are good roads in Nigeria too. Leave your village and move to Abuja or Uyo or Enugu. Fine roads everywhere and highly secured.

What is ''sub-standard'' about the health care and educational systems? These are the same systems that have produced world class individuals in all spheres, from doctors to engineers and scientists all over the world.

Everything African is always ''sub-standard'' in your 'oyinbo' worshipping heads.

I stopped going to the UK two (2) years ago !

I specifically did a session in my home state warning people about the system in the UK.

The system is wired to take all your sweat back in form of taxes, rates and duties.

Do your research properly before you travel please.

EU countries like Luxembourg, Sweden, Finland currently have a better liveability index and consider wholesome family living than the UK generally.

The UK is now an extension of Lagos.
That's what happens when you open doors for mass influx of people from lawless countries. The probability that you gonna absorb a lot of such people is definitely gonna be very high.

Look at this one that is an immigrant, talking down on others.

But you guys are enjoying good amenities and infrastructures even if they is no money. What do you want again!
In U.K, you are not expected to be rich. Just provide genuine environment for the masses, that is all. That is why you cannot so much give difference between the poor and rich there. Everybody enjoys almost equal benefits, as far you are hardworking!

In Nigeria, even the rich class life are not spared from unfortunate scenes happening to dem. Life is anyhow here. The wealthy and the poor man lives are endangered!

You people should please understand them:

- They moved as adults who had spent >25 of your lives in a particular location only to move to an entirely different country. It's not South Africa or Ghana, it's the UK.
- Where they lived had sunlight 24/7/365. Where they're now gets it only twice per annum.
- They're far away from their loved ones who they grew up with and schooled together. They have realised that life isn't just all about money and constant electricity, after all, they are people who earn well back home.

If there's no life in the UK,an advance country, then is it in Nigeria that is plaque with different economic problems that is better.

They better start returning back home to live a life of

Unemployment
Insecurity
Bad roads
Dilapidated educational system
Sub standard health care/facilities
Endemic corruption.
The list is endless, living in Nigeria is akin to living in hellfire
why some ain't finding it easy is because most things are free in Nigeria.... You have to pay for everything over there....water, light, etc

The message is not for people who are struggling here but for those doing pretty well here in Nigeria

If your salary is up to N300k/per month here think twice before leaving.

By and large, it favours some while for some it is a tale of woes and regret

U.K has been like that for a while now.. even the Whites are not finding it funny talk more of immigrants.
The problem with Africans is crowd mentality.. oh because this person has gone abroad, I must go too. Ehnn you don go and your eyes don see am.

Oh Africa, blessed continent plagued with bad leaders and docile people.. where some people sleep outside overnight and still carry on fine the next day.. Go try am in UK or Canada and see if you'd live to tell the story.

Lastly, Government should do something about these education agents deceiving Nigerians about opportunities abroad, most Nigerian youths are now stranded because of false assurances from these agents.

If you must work in Nigeria, get a Nigerian degree.. If you go U.K, then don't come back to look for work in Nigeria. Stay there and stay jobless if you don't get job. As simple as that.
That's the only way that Education in Nigeria and Africa will improve and have more worth.

there's some gap in our educational development that needs to be filled with externally trained people.

You are judging Uk by the city you are located in

If you go to live in a village in Nigeria you will still complain of loneliness

Living is a risk. But you cannot compare Nigeria with the UK. If you went to the UK legitimately, with the right mindset, your chances of prospering out there outweigh that of Nigeria 10X.

How much would that cost you kwanu?
Isn't the amount "prosperity" enough on Its own?

Honestly I pity the next generation of Nigerian kids whose parents are poor.

If you are a Nigerian parent or aspiring parent now, please help your children or future kids by establishing a business or small scale company where they will work or start life from after their university because with the way the whole world is going right now, getting a job in the next 15 years from today will become almost impossible for those without strong family ties because the existing good jobs will be hijacked by those that have strong family connect

N300k per month no be money in today's Naija...

Your residual savings might be less than 80k in a month when you back out living costs and other incidental expenses...

A lizard in Nigeria will not become a crocodile in the UK. It’s a bit better in the US as it is a capitalist society but if you mistakenly slip up in these country na straight to the abyss. More like high risk high reward. I honestly believe that heaven is wherever you make it. Don’t sell all you have just to emigrate
